I got another load of mulch yesterday and the previous day our son had been climbing into the back of the truck which impressed me for being only 3. He would run around and only do it from the passenger side. I thought nothing of it. Yesterday I figured out why. He was using the exhaust as a step!!! He would step on it, grab the cable and pull himself up. Silly kids.

You know, before I had kids I would have throat chopped someone for doing something like this but now that I have kids I realize what is important and it's not material things. If he or anyone else steps on the exhaust or beats the side of the bed with a shovel it doesn't matter. What matters is at night when we lay him down and he says his prayers and thanks God for "daddy helping him spread mulch" which is what he said, that is what matters. He also filled one of the front stake pockets with mulch and said he planted an apple tree. Yeah I got to clean that out too but who cares, he was having fun.
