I'm sure you know that the front cover has bolts going up into it from the aluminum oil pan. This makes it a PAIN to seal when putting it back on. If you can try to get a flash light in the sensor hole and see if the plate (reluctor or tone wheel) that is close to the sensor is loose with a screw driver (be careful). You may need a front seal puller too.

The oil pan doesnt need to be touched for the front cover. Only the rear cover. Just be prepared to key the shaft(s) in the truck and have a front main seal installer.

X2 and empire has a keying tool that you can do in the truck. But I don't see how you can get an actual key in. Looks like a long sleep pin that runs parallel to the crankshaft. It will spread the load, but still not be as good as a square key. But I could be misinterpreting how the tool works.

Yep it is, but it has been the whole time with my truck, if it hasn't happen to anyone yet it will happen to me. Oh well hopefully we find an obvious problem that can be repaired quick and I won't have to sell the farm to fix! I'll keep ya posted.

Anyone have any ideas on where to check next? We are going to test that harness to make sure it hasn't rubbed through somewhere, if not I'm no too sure what to check next?:confused:

Justin. Does the truck return to normal after cooling down or does it stay this way after it does it (falls on it's face)? I see you stasted that the MAF was ok. Does this mean you cleaned it, or that it looked ok? Just a shot in the dark at this point without looking at it.

It runs real good idles smooth, you notice it when you are accelarating, it shows very low timing all the way through, on my race tune it might make up to 20.0* I don't think temp has any effect on it?
