How does this work out the triple kits that i have seen run more on the line of say instead of a s483 as a primary they run 2 s472's with 1.10 ar's over as366 or over stock? BTW not a arguement just trying to figureout everyones thoughts for a street strip tow truck that tows 16k and in the 1kwhp range and i already have a s366 billet s480 twin soiftwo s472's out flow the s480 why notand spool faster.

2 s472s should flow wayyyyyy more than an s480. Cause my small s200 frame turbos outflow the 480 by 5 lbs a minute and trent rates them for 800hp with the right hp turbo. So I would think two 472s would be well into the 1,000+ range

So do you think that a s366 secondary and 2 s472 primarys with 1.10 ar or 472 with 1.01ar will be a nice setup i have one s472 just might buy another to find out. Want it to spool faster down bottom but really dont wanna replace both turbos. And i tow 14k usually once a week. thanks for the help with understanding everything to love learning about stuff like this.:thumb:

Honestly this is just my opinion, as I have never rode in a truck with that large of a trip setup. But I would think that would be on the laggy side. Specially towing. Once again, just my two cents. I think the 366 setup is perfect.

I can honestly tell you that a 71 over two billet 66's is a pretty darn good setup. It drives very well and I believe would tow most anything. Yes it won't drive exactly like a stock Turbo truck but it is not far off. A lot of torque. It is the combination that makes the package not a particular item that does. So pick your items carefully and you will be pleased with the end product. Biggest is not best or baddest. Seek moderation in all things.

x2 I am seriously thinking about a 72 over two s366's for my new motor, but still undecided.

I still dont understand the triple "craze".......

more heat for oil, not enough cooling per air.....YAY.....

sure looks pretty though.....

and costs more.....

stupid Americans.

I still don't understand the twins "craze"

I don't kno what Trent uses in his, but I kno triple 72's was done on the merchant build. And I would think .91 would be fine and that's what I would use, but I'm def no expert on triples

yeah i believe he used 1.0 ar and 1.10 also but the s472 on top with two s366 feeding it sounds like a strong build for the 1k mark or all three s366 .91 billets

That wasnt directed towards u mpsoldier. More towards the dont understand the twin and triple craze. How many singles make 1000hp and still street driven and can pull trailers. None. That to me would explain the twin and triple craze.

472 & two 66 had been tried and it works very well. IMO a 472 & two 371 would work very good.

yea, why would you want to compress air going into a smaller charger? I still don't understand the whole turbo craze, just think how much cooler the oil would be with no turbo. And all the money and weight you would save with just a filter going to the Y bridge

I think that would be too small of a secondary. you can flex in the MAP a little bit for what use you are going after

Remember, 95% of the DDing is done on the secondary turbo, not really lighting those primaries until you get on it. In theory you could even tow on just the secondary (but in real life the primaries are helping). If you are wondering how a kit will be to drive, just look at the secondary... and know that it will be just a little more DD friendly than if it was a single.
For a mostly DD truck I like to run the secondary on the small side. This will push the primaries up and a little to the left on the MAP, not where you want to be (more drive PSI and hotter air out of the compressor which makes the secondary work harder by moving to the right on the MAP) but if your truck is going to spend very little time on the max effort tune WOT it is worth it to cheat a little bit to get away with a smaller secondary

I would think 366 pri/472 sec might be a little big of a secondary for a street truck-still work great but I think for towing etc you chould cheat smaller on the secondary

Ok everyone is saying to use a 1.1-.90 ar but what about turbine size. There's many options there also 83,87,92,96

I'm thinking about playing with the size of mine a little bit, but that is :secret: for now. Goes back to where in the MAP you will be running the comp and how much power it takes to run it there
