Some know of Ricks Chevelle... 11.20's stock LB7 avg 30-35mpg. Well, we kicked it up a few notches for one of the biggest gasser races in Ca. What was just a joke/thought a month ago, came to life in two weeks.. Rick had to get the cage up to 8.50 par, and a few other things needed done to the car as well. I built an LBZ with Carrillos, cut stock pistons, Exergy 225% inj, MPI dual fueler (two stock LBZ pumps), GT42 Mag, two stages of N20, and other minor items. We got two motor passes (no N20, Trans brake, and didn't lite the turbo in staging) in on Wed. The first pass ever for the combo went 101mph in the 1/8mi. Then split a boot on the hot side. Second pass blew off a boot about 200' out of the gate. We are headed to the track in an hour for more testing, and qualifying for tomorrows event. We probably won't make it far in the event running the class we are entering (TT5/True 10.5") but will give her all we can.... Big thanks to the ATP team for jumping on board with last min tuning/support.
