I wish spending $ and dong it all that changed "luck" but all it does it make it hurt that much more when problems show face.

There was a moment I almost said screw it and slapped carillos in with stock pistons, put my new heads on and just ran the snot out of it. Under $5000 in the long block and had plenty of fun with it. Now I'm wondering why I spent $13,000 on a short block.

Getting the tuning sorted out. Truck had some bad drive pressure leaks and a bad boost leak. It is shifting great though.

This is tune 1, a 1450usec tune. And yes it broke traction at 70 when the converter hit.
Built motor lly tune 1: http://youtu.be/hxb9SKXhjK4

I gotta say I admire your cool, I would have been tracking down the seller and augmenting his plumbing with that up pipe.

Working with kory to get this dang surge figured out. The truck sometimes pulls hard, other times it surges and bucks like a bastard.

you might want to verify that the lift pumps are working constantly. Maybe by illuminating and led in the cab. Just one suggestion. I've seen a couple fuel flow issues this winter and intermittent lift pump pressure was one
