Torque bends weak rods... High rpm, low torque is the way to make high hp and have the engine last

Why you not got an 8.1L? you ask a question you already know the answer to:hug:Then why not buy a 8.1L? And not waste all that extra money on a diesel and the more expensive fuel? oke:oke:oke:

I had to go back and quote this, because of his new thread about the 7 bent rods in his motor.
I will just have to say that reading threads like these make me think two things:
1) Some of you guys run very "optimistic" dyno numbers, and your 1/4 ET and mph dont reflect the power you think you have.
2) You are all nuckin futs. :roflmao:
600 or higher on stock bottom, no matter who tunes it, is just asking for trouble. Good luck to all of you doing it right now, but in the end, you'll all be rebuilding your engines. Been there.

No shit im glad I wasnt the only one who noticed the bogus dyno numbers :roflmao:

I think I was the best example. 649rwhp.....13.50 ET....

Were you doing a 4wh peel or forget to put it in 4x4, lol! At 675hp I ran 11.65@115 iirc. Dyno is a tool, nothing more nothing less.
Well, mine were off about 25 hp, too. Dynos vary. I wouldn't call them bogus, just not realistic.
Some of these posted 1/4 times are so far off their dyno numbers that it makes a person wonder if it was a screwy dyno run or bad driving at the track.
I've always used a superflow. A bone stock LBZ dynoed 320hp on it. At the time my truck made 615hp ran 12.1@109 race weight is 6900lbs seems pretty accurate.
Definitely bad driver.

My dyno numbers are way off! 665 hp and I ran a 12.6 @ 6450lbs... no way. More like barely over 500hp. Funny thing is that I have made over 650hp on multiple dyno's. I must be a bad driver, cause dyno's are never off. My torque curve always goes straight up then makes a 180 and heads down faster than it went up. Stupid t-3 turbo....
Must be the lack of sparkle pants
Sparkle pants are proven to cut at least 1/10th off your time:roflmao:
I think people should tell there trap and weight instead of dyno numbers. Thats what I ask someone when I'm trying to figure out what power level there at.Were you doing a 4wh peel or forget to put it in 4x4, lol! At 675hp I ran 11.65@115 iirc. Dyno is a tool, nothing more nothing less.
i just personally dont see the need of pushing tuning that hard to 32*+ of timing.. for what? 20 hp? cuz it will pop and then you will be like arg arg arg so and so's tuning popped my truck.
id rather have mine safe and buy the necessary parts to make it get quicker and make bigger power and keep tuning on the safe side. just my opinion..
