Anyone have any info on the next HD that will roll out? I'll be in the market for a new truck in about 6 months and although I like the LML, I want to wait for a better interior. I've seen a few spy photos but the camo is so heavy on them you don't see shit.

You're probably going to have to wait longer than 6 months, but they should be out by the end of next year. Maybe september-ish. Usually when GM rolls out a new truck/SUV platform, the introduction order goes:

1. SUV's
2. light duty trucks
3. HD trucks

I would definitely wait for the new ones. I wouldnt hesitate buying one right away either. On the K2XX HD trucks, the drivetrain and chassis is just going to be a carryover from the 2011+ trucks. So its not like theres going to be any "bugs to work out". Because really the body/interior is going to be the only new part on the HD trucks.

Lol Ben I so knew that you were going to chime in on this subject;) Thanks for the info. If I have to wait a little longer I will. I'm really curious to see what new options and look they will have.

I would like to see them make the cabs bigger (Ford and Dodge both have much roomier back seats), but if the frame is staying the same, I don't see that happening. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I would like to see them make them better looking. The current ones look OK, just not my style. As long as they don't make it worse, I guess. I saw a truly horrifying concept photo on the internet a while back

X2 I can only fit girls or kids in the back seat of my crew cab. GM needs to catch up there.

I think GM is going to try twin turbo again since they didn't have time to get it right for 2011 and dumped it. Word was out 2 years ago that Piezo injectors were going by by.

If you look at the spy shots, the cabs are indeed significantly bigger. From the B-pillar back on a 2014 crew cab, just by rough estimating, the cab looks a good 3" longer.

Dont really need to make the frame longer. Push the cab farther forward an inch into the front fenders, and close up the gap between the bed and rear cab wall, and theres your 3"+ of extra legroom for the rear passengers.

From what Ive read and been able to discern by the spy photos, the 2014 crew cabs will most likely be much closer to, if not match, a super-duty in terms of rear leg room.

Would be cool to see a factory twin 6.6 :D :thumb: :woott:

Why? Just so we can say "omg its TWIN TURBO!!"??

Twins arent gonna do anything as far as performance, when the LML is already starved for fuel due to the weak CP4.2.

The only thing "factory twins" would do is make it more of a PITA to work on, fill the engine bay with excess heat, and make it even more expensive to fix when something breaks.

So I'm guessing that we can expect to pull the cabs like the
Ford too for engine work If they are smashing everything up farther forward
For a couple inches of leg room.

I agree with Ben. From the spy pics I've seen, you can definitely tell the cab will be larger! Still stuck with those dumb ass square fenders though!
