Not a whole lot to update at this time other than I am building a trans mount for when I redo my trans. Benefit of working on trains is there are alot of random parts laying around I can use to fabricate with, downside is the parts I make end up being extremely heavy duty for there Intended purpose considering they were off a train :D

Ran out of welding wire mid-weld, so I'll have to snag some more before I can finish the mount.

Pretty sure this trans mount could support the entire truck.

I think im going to order my trans parts within the next 2 weeks. I'll show a nice tear down of my allison, get to see how the red eagle clutches held up for the last 2.5 years.

Looks good man. Its not a bad idea to get the tool that goes in thru driverside pto to hold pressure on mainshaft to keep intermediate shaft and thrustwasher from falling out of place if you flip your trans on the engine stand. Not sure if any forum vendors sell the tool or not but patc has them.

Exhaust is still being debated. The wife hates hood stack and bed side exit...she doesn't have much say though;)
They are only allowed to make suggestions. Decision making is for the men.. lol

On a positive note a new hood is like $500 shipped if you end up absolutely hating it.
It would be bad ass to do some sort of cutout or air knife shutoff to the stack to redirect the exhaust to a secondary system under the truck for cruising around.

This build may be going in a slightly different direction...still debating on what to do.

Research for considering the change is I just don't want so much money tied up in this. Only difference I'm considering is running stock delipped pistons rather than my oval bowls that I have and then toning it down to around 850hp.

I still want to go fast, but can't quite stomach the costs involved with a 1000+ horse truck.

We will see though, it is not fully decided yet.

You have the fingers already, so I say keep em. Keep the power toned down, but don't back out of what you have already done.

Unless you want me to run your ovals:happy2:
