As soon as my built motor is finished, you can snap rev it to 4,800+ RPM. Heck, you can hold it to the floor for 5 minutes if you want to pay for the fuel.Ps I am going on a snap test round robin, any volunteers to allow me come to your place floor your motor and then leave?
I can't believe someone is concerned by engine damage due to free revving. Have you ever floored your truck, it shifts at the top of the rpm range and it's under load. It's almost like they designed it to be able to do that. Of all reasons to not want emissions testing, this has to be the silliest reason I've ever heard of.
^^^ I hope that's how it'll be here, when I'm due in the spring I'm gonna make sure there's no codes then try and push her through with the straight pipe and see what happens.
Actually they are suppose to LOOK for emission device tampering or removal. Also make sure there are NO stored codes or Mil requests etc etc
