James, Arizona/ Maricopa County allows you 90 days prior to the registration expiration to have it tested.

yup i know. im in no rush. it pasted the last 3 years when i registered it back down here and its federal emissioned so i had no egr or cat from the factory. they seem to like to blame my truck for things. first year it wouldnt register on their machine and it was "my exhausts fault" for being too far under the truck, that didnt fly with me so after 3 test, i got my directors certificate for a free pass that year. Following year, the kid jumped under the hood searching all around for an EGR, couldnt find it. Then looked under the truck for a cat and proceeded to explain to me i had neither, well no shit sherlock. So when he went to plug my info into the computer, a nice big screen popped up stating "NO EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATOR OR CATALYTIC CONVERTER ON THIS VEHICLE". he stayed quiet after that. Last year was the only year that it went through without someone causing an issue. I can see why they get all up tight about my truck in there, you can definitely tell nothing about it is stock but it complys with AZ laws and it will pass with flying colors every time!

I hate Emissions it's DUMB but another way to soak you out of money! Diesel 10k and over are exempt something like that it might be higher don't recall off hand. All gasser must go 4 years old and OLDER.

By law Federal Emission standards are what under warranty for 5 years 50 k ? So if you have a check engine light on your going to get a free fix so why would you drive around with the light on?

So anyway I got the postcard for the Audi and gave it the finger and tossed it! :roflmao: Well I forgot about it and the reg came up and low and behold the wont let you register you car! That sucks had to go first then spend a good part of my day at DMV and last week I received a bill from DMV for $20 for being late! If I don't pay it they wont register ANY cars in my name! :D

They suck

so cause your memory sucks ass, they suck? :poke:

They are still looking for the cat on my C20 for going on 20 years same owner, me. No EGR, no cat, no charcoal canister, GVWR 8600 cab chassis not required per the Fed. it does however have an A.I.R. pump and it sure "looks" good.....:woott:

I had a guy flag my s10 on the computer cause he thought I had messed with the air pump on it. He didnt think the hoses were routed right and after spending an hour yelling back and forth I left went home pulled up a diagram on the internet then went back and threw it in his face. After review he said he would pass my truck and when I told him to go unflag my truck he looked at me and told me he did not have time to do it and would get to it when he had time. Just as I started to pop a gasket on this guy the manager ran over and got in the middle and told the guy to go over and do it right now and told me he was sorry.
Anyway now I have to pay the state to have my Duramax pluged into the computer for it to tell them that it is not emission equiped. Nothing like paying money for no reason besides the gov says so.
