Same issue I ran into! I used my stock pistons though, so the rods had to be the culprit on mine. We decked the difference off the top of the pistons (no more than .002" variance IIRC). You're doing it right Simon, so much better to be safe than sorry!

Jason i was thinking about your old post about this:D

With a stock cam i would be ok.I run a comp cam as of now and its even closer  anything bigger would be to risky.

Arias is doing it for free and the motor is on the stand soooooo why not

Hell yes, I'd have them do it too if it was free! Do you have any valve reliefs in the pistons?
Are you using the comp cam that Guy has made?
What rods are you using(too lazy for going back and looking)?

She looks pretty rough Paul. Half way through open heart surgery and awaiting plastic and reconstructive surgery is the best way to put it!

Simon bought the truck in the fall of '07!! So it has been a year and a half.

It's just been stupid little things holding us up lately Travis. But the complete list of things that have held us up is so dumb and long it would make your head spin. We are starting to gain some ground though!

That pic shows half your problem you two....there's no intake yet:D

You gotta remember this project should have been track ready mid summer last year....that overheating bs really slowed us down. More parts will be here in the morning...hopefully it will be in the truck next week and headed back up here for the t case and some other suspension stuff.

Anyone want to guess how much this fitting is worth? It's made out of 304 stainless and it is for 2" hose. The 1" collar is made out of 316 stainless.
