He updated his Facebook in the middle of the night and said throttle hung, air shutoff setup didn't activate properly, initially looks like 2 rod bolts failed, then whole the rest was still at full tilt it split the Hamilton block off the rotating assembly section.

Read that rack hung, went to neutral and the air kill failed to work

Yea. I’m thinking somebody tried to pull it up tight w the bell housing bolts and ran into a tight spot.

Being from a junk yard, I'd guess it is out of a wrecked vehicle. That's probably the damages from the crash and they repaired it to sell.

Could also be as you thought because I've seen guys do it. Tried installing it without the converter fully seated and tried to draw it in tight with the bolts till they realized they had a problem.

But I'd stay away from it for that price.

Dam, that is something I would put on my fridge ice maker not a brake line. Maybe if I was stuck in the middle of nowhere and thats all I had but not for long. Not DOT legal by any means

It's amazing how much they take in stock trim. It will chuck a weird shift every now and then but it's only after I've pounded on it or driven it nicely then whacked it...:spit:
