Been there. It is always that one too. Never one in the middle. Time for a handful of 7/16 nuts, welder, pb blaster and impact. Usually after the 4th or 5th weld and pb spray they'll come out

Had to replace power steering pressure hose on my son's G6 convertible this week. Old line shifted and burnt thru on exhaust. I guess its an issue with these cars.

Anyway, with all the frame strengthening cross bracing under the car, I couldnt drop the rear of the engine cradle to access the rack like I normally would.

Oh...my...god, GM's engineers/designers should be shot for some of the bonehead BS I found as I wriggled and wrestled around under that car trying to get that damn line out and replaced.

I won’t touch a car, my wife wanted a car this time and it’s gone before the warranty is out. I got a e-450 that STILL needs manifold studs drilled and replaced and they’re motor placement is a real dandy, I’d rather eat chalk and drink old crow.

Same. Had to squeeze under one to change the oil the other day. So lame.

Unfortunately my wife got rooked into getting extended warranty so we're stuck with her Focus for another 40000 miles but as soon as it is off she is going to trade it in on a 1/2 ton of some sort.

Im the family mechanic.

Any van is a PITA to work on. No room at all to work on them. No thanks.

Getting to the point where working on any modern vehicle is the same with lack of room. Truck has a little around the engine.

And pretty much any engineer designing vehicles needs to be drug out of the office and beat. Like I said before changing the fog light bulbs on the 18 is not exactly a cake walk it took over 30 min to change the pass side one and it came out the front by removing the housing.

I won't touch the wife's car. Best thing I ever did was buy the service plan with it, they come and get it when the car tells them it's ready. She just gets an email telling her to leave keys in gas cap and they bring her a loaner to drive while they have it. Craziest thing is they will use gps to locate loaner and come switch it out wherever you are. They just send a text telling you that your car is back where you parked their loaner. Takes the disruption of service right out of the equation...

As for the VW Bug and trailer vid...I might be in the minority here, but if it were just the wife and I, hell yes I'd own that. My Dad had three Bugs when I was little. Loved those little cars, and a small 5th wheel to boot?!?


Put a new T-stat and temp sensor in my son's G6 today. Yay.

I also happened to look under the hood of Roni's Malibu today. She was saying she wants more power (who knew? LOL). Lots of room in front of that 2.5L. I wonder if I could turbocharge it? Hell, I wonder if the trans could handle it?
