You have a pre tuned ecm? How is he supposed to make any changes? The MAF is never right on the first try btw. Not all 5" intakes are the same, nor is MAF location.

Last time it was trial and error. I have the torque app to data log I don't know how good it will do data logging. If all else fails I'll drive out there it's a few hours and have him tune it. I know it won't build boost at a free rev. I just think it was cold. Had no whistle. Got Better As it Warmed up. I'll get to actually drive it today so I'll let everyone know

This is my hot pipe extention\reducer delete. Got a stock cummins boot on it for now, maybe that's the problem;)

The lower pipe is pulled up. And the 90 is cocked off the turbo, this is just temporary to make the straight boot work, I have a 30° boot and clamps coming.

Ok got her together. Went to back out my brand new clutch or pressure plate seems to be grinding pretty good when I'm coming off the clutch. Doesn't grind under power it's in gear rolling with the clutch in. Or partial clutch engagement.

Aside from that the truck has no balls. Seems to be a limp related type of problem. I'm gonna check the maf reading and the map reading today to see if there going crazy. I think I remember hearing a distinctive crack sound when I bumped into the map sensor with a ratchet. Thinking I might of spun it in the hole a hair breaking the seal loose making a crack sound. Thinking now I might have broke it. So I'll see what's up with that. It doesn't smoke at all. or seem to have any power. Like fuel is being limited. And it takes its time free reving up to any rpms. I took it up to 4000 rpms driving and it basically feels stock. Like I said I'll check out the little stuff first and see where that goes. Any ideas on what the map and maf sensors normal range would be?

To bump up the original thread I am in the process of switching from duramax tuner to Tony at moonshine with help from Henry and creatures of the night. I also ordered a 100 pound boost guage a autometer ultra light to match my pyro. I already have these guages but I don't think the 35 pound one will cut it anymore. So with very few things left to do besides wait. I'm just tying up the loose ends. I have an exhaust leak but can't track that down without running it.dont want to pop in the fender wells just in case it's at the manifold. So I'm almost at a complete standstill. I'll keep it updated and a huge thanks to Henry for explaining everything to me and hooking me up with some proper tuning. My new gopro is getting dusty I'll be sure to dust it off when I get her going.

To track down the exhaust leak tape a shop vac to the exhaust and set it to blow and feel around for the leak. This way you can get it fixed now while you are waiting!

Good idea I'll try it. I was just gonna wait til I seen a huge black spot lol. Up pipes are heat taped they might be the culprit. One of the bellows maybe? It's a pretty noticeable leak. That ain't gonna help spool that charger none.

Yeah, ive used it before and it works great. Could throw some flour or something around if you still cant track it down.

Ok still have an exhaust leak to find but good news is I emailed tony my stock tune tonight so hopefully soon I'll have some tunes to make this thing a little more aggressive on the street. Then hopefully the noise my clutch was making when I backed it out of the shop goes away with a test drive. I'm pretty proud of it I've started it in low 20 degree weather and 15 degrees ones with the glows and intake heater not hooked up and she fires right up and idles smooth just a little rattley.

Found my exhaust leak. It was the driver up pipe where it bolts to the manifold. My gasket was hanging out so far I could see half of the bolt hole in the gasket. Fixed that. Installed my Rancho 9000xls all the way around. Wired up my glow plugs and installed my recon cab lights that are super tall and bubbly looking compared to the lower profile stock ones. I have a corrupted ecm that tony can't tune, so I called dt and they happily sent me another that was also corrupted. So I'm waiting on a third ecm from them that Bob will check out before it's sent. Then I can get the stock tune sent to Tony and get this thing rolling.

On top of that I still have a very odd clutch squelch when I push in the clutch when I'm rolling and push the clutch in. So that will probably be coming back out to:mad:

I have a V2 on deposit from Henry at creatures. So tony can email my tunes to me. But when I pull the stock tune and sent it to him he says it's corrupted. Meaning the vin or model number on the ecm is zeroed out. He said 9 out of ten times it will not flash and waste the license. So i am getting the tunes emailed after I get an ecm the will be tunable through email. Tony said it's an lb7 ecm thing only. And that the corrupt ecms I have are bench tunable. He said he can mod the stock tune and email it it just might not flash and waste the license.

Ugh I hate lb7 ecms.. I went through 2 before I realized a file was corrupt.. Now I flash with gm back to stock then pull stock file.

Probably won't help your situation though.

Hope you get this thing going soon!
