alright so here is a list of things I needed to build the kit I built. I did a count and Im into it just over 1400 bucks. Conservatively Lets say 1500 for the small stuff. If I subtract the 150 I got from my CAI, im right at 1350. IM very happy with that price for a full powder coated s475 over stock kit.

Hot pipe: everything is 3 inch aluminized 16 gauge.

1-180
2-45
down pipe flange. (I reused the stocker)
3 inch v band clamp kit
Columbia river makes a nice 3 inch to T6 transition piece I bought also.
T6 flange.
Some header wrap

Pipe between the two chargers. I used 3.5 11 gauge aluminum.
2-45
a silicone coupler
s475 compressor outlet flange and clamp
A weld in bung if you ever want the PSI from just the big turbo.

atmospheric turbo intake. I used a full 5 inch, but 4 would be easier to fit. the material is 14 gauge aluminum.

1-90
a weld in MAF sensor bung. Suncoast makes one and so does PPE.
a 5 inch silicone coupler. Or 5 to 4 if you'd rather do a 4 inch intake.
A filter of some sort. I used an AFE dry filter because I dont like the oiled ones. Especially since the MAF sensor is so close to my filter.

The down pipe. Material is 4 inch 16 gauge aluminized steel.

1-180
2-45
a 5 to 4 adapter
a clamp of some sort to connect to the front pipe
s475 exhaust flange and clamp

The oil lines. I used -4 An for feed and -10 An for drain. Some say thats too small, so Consider doing 12 and 6.

1-4 AN female 45 degree hose end
1-4 AN female 90 degree hose end
1-14x1.5 to 6 AN adapter
1-6 AN to 4 AN adapter
1-4 AN to 1/4 NPT adapter.
3 feet of your choice of feed line hose.

for the drain:

2-10 AN female hoes ends
1-3/4 NPT to 10 AN adapter
1-3/8 NPT to 10 AN 45 degree fitting for the oil pan
5 feet of your choice of drain hose.

Random this and that

about 2 feet of 1/2 coolant hose
about 2 feet of 1 inch coolant hose
extra clamps for the coolant hose
Clamps for the boots and intake stuff
bolts for the turbo flange
Magnet or camera for when you drop things in the engine bay and you dont have the privilege to hear it hit the floor.

sources for parts:

Race parts solutions
for the cold side tubing and the oil flanges and other turbo flanges. (I got my turbo flanges for free from a buddy, but they should have what you need.)

Columbia river mandre
l for the hot side tubing. Any time I thought I might need a 90 from them, I ordered a 180 because they are about the same price and you can basically get 2 90's for the price of one.

Summit racing for the oil line supplies, a 4 inch clamp to go to the front pipe, a 4 to 5 exhaust adapter and weld in bungs for boost gauges.

AFE for the filter. They have a nifty " build your own" thing, which really is just finding a filter they make close to your needs, but it works well for finding the right filter for your application. I also like their dry clean able filters. He said they dont flow as good as the oiled ones, but I do not like oiled filters on these trucks.

Thats all I can think of for now.

thanks. Good to know. I will probably swap that over after I get everything up and running. I have it all put together minus the oil lines and filter. going to try and clean the engine bay up a little. Its DIRTY!

a few more. I really wish I had a decent camera. They look like a peach color with my junk phone camera.

Looks like a professional kit to me. Probably fits better than my epr.

Btw if you want to run an inner fender get a half ton fender well. They have a little less material, then I used a hand held torch to shape it around the DP. It helps alot when it wet and especially for keeping salt spray off your motor and turbo.

Thanks! ive been working on this set up for 2 weeks every night after work until 10-11 at night. Feels good to hear that. Yes, I was definitely planning on a fender well. Thanks for the tip. I can probably get one for cheap at a local junk yard.

Ditto Submans comment, drive is a far more useful data point.

The work turned out looking really nice for a DIY kit. I have wanted to build one for my truck for quite a while but, time and money keep slamming the brakes on the project.

He was asking about a boost increase valve- I don't think that is the way to go in a twin set up, never said I don't measure drive...

truck is up and running! spool up seems kinda slow. Im running a 150-160 hp tune right now. Im only seeing 38 PSI. Not enough fuel? boost leak? I dont see any black soot around the hot pipe so I dont think its leaking. im scared to run my max effort tune. Turbo whistle is insane! I love how it sounds. Crazy loud.

Do you have any black smoke out the exhaust when you get on it? If you had a large enough hole on the intake side that would be a sign.
Do you hear any screeching? This would be a leak on the exhaust side.
Did you change your tuning since the install? You may need some timing and/or fuel sooner to get the big guy rolling.

Are you just running both stock cast wheels on the IHI & S475?

Looks good by the way!!! :thumb:

It's a box stock s475. I'd bet with some tuning it would spool better for you. I feel you on not wanting to push the tuning.

tuning is still for the stock turbo, upgraded transmission. Kory emailed me a new set of tunes, but I have to have a local diesel shop install them and I havent had time. Not hardly any black smoke. Truck burns crazy clean now. It doesnt even smoke that much when it spools up.

It probably needs some MAF sensor work done to the tune. I'm sure Kory already took care of it in your new tunes though.
