Rule discussion for new stock truck list

I feel like I have to put myself on a diet now... :roflmao:

We can make the min weight an empty weight, that way driver weight cutting is allowed. This would also reduce the burden on our healthcare system, as this would be fighting obesity. I should get paid to come up with these ideas...

Maybe first you guys should have a vote about what the intent of the list is for, to have a stock engine pushed to the limits or a stock truck with a stock engine that is still a DD pushed to the limits. then you can work out the rules
my 2 cents worth is who wants to really push their DD to the limits knowing that it is a ticking bomb?

2006-2009 vans have 3.73 and 4 speed trans
2010+ vans have 6 speed trans and 3.54(iirc)

Vans have stock lift pump, can it be modded for some secret squirrel use?

I think the weight thing is the biggest issue. I will never get my crew cab to go as fast as a stripped regular cab. I think the list will be reg. Cabs and vans.

I don't really see a weight limit fitting in with the intent of this list. This isn't meant to be "fair". It is meant to see how far a stock motor can be pushed in a factory street driven application. I feel like the rules I laid out will limit weight reduction to a reasonable level. The only thing I can think of is factory HVAC system. If you guys think it should remain, then we could add that to the rules. Not too many street driven trucks out there without a heater/defroster/vent stuff. Yes, it is very likely that the list will be dominated by regular cabs, but that's just the nature of racing. Lighter vehicles will be faster at a similar power level. If you think it's unfair, you shouldn't have bought a heavy truck.

I agree with the weight it is what it is. If you don't have defrosters and wipers you aren't street legal. IMO AC should have to stay like headlights .

This is beginning to look like the special Olympics, everyone gets a medal. :D Didn't mention lift pumps, are they allowed? How about fuel tank sumps? The weight thing is nuts, if the damn thing is steet legal and can be licensed and insured for the street it should be allowed. I suppose you could carry the "everyone wins" theme a bit further and have 3/4 ton RC, ECSB, ECLB, CCSB, CCLB, then the same for one ton and a dually division.:roflmao:
Amen brother, IMHO sorry guys but this shit is really phuckin gettin stupid. Maybe its just me but i don't give a sheet who has the fastest stock whatever. Who likes stock shit anyways?

If your goal is to see how far a stock motor can be pushed then you NEED to have a weight limit. The motor will be pushed harder in a CCSB then it is in a RCLB if they both run the same time agreed? By imposing a weight limit you actually get to see who is getting the most out of their set-up.

In Florida you need some type of bumper to help keep vehicles from running underneath your vehicle if hit from the rear.
