If a guy wants to run a CC then in theory he should be able to cut more weight than someone with a RCLB to make it fair, I still say there is a reason every NHRDA non index class has a min weight. Do that and figure out what rules you want for weight distro and it should take a lot of the fighting out. If you want to make this list about pushing a stock engine, then even it out but setting the weight, that way you are left with some suspension work (but keep it stock no 4 links) and that will drive the guys to push the engine.

If you want to be lighter dont buy a cc truck? Weights fair game how would you check someones weight on the list anyways?

I say no weight reduction on RC or EC. Unlimited weight reduction on CC.
You can use weight reduction for your personal best but not the list. Have your personal best in parenthasis.

WHY? With the weight issue to make it fair? It is what it is you drive what you bought! When someone posts a run I'd think everyone takes into consideration what the vehicle configuration is.

Just like it's said it's your lose if you don't want to strip weight. So if you want to go faster buy a new truck then.

So either one set of rules for all the same or you'll have to have a list for every cab/bed configuration. That's just being retarded as Josh would say! :D

Then what about vans? Im not sure but im guessing they weigh significantly less than a truck. On the website curb weight is listed as 5392lbs for a 3500. And theirs quite a few diffrent van configurations also

setting a min weight isn't complicated.... set it at the right number and guys don't really have a reason to gut the trucks just my 2 cents worth

I dont care so much if vans are allowed but I better not have weight restrictions on a rc or ec cab truck then if they are going to be on the same list

:roflmao:

scard of a little free candy?

FWIW, my van at the track weighed in at 6050 iirc with -1 me in it, 2 - pass seat and spare tire removed, 3 - less than 1/4 tank of fuel.
no other weight reduction

edit to clarify my weight - Van was 2006 3500 standard length (not extended) no windows, empty inside (no racks & bins, bulkhead, etc)
All Stock in regards to weight issues except for:
Straight pipe exhaust
265's instead of 245's
