Thanks  , need to get the 5 point in so i can get it inspected for tech . I just hope it it passes certification , the side bars that go along the seat were a bit shorter than what i see on most trucks, still waiting for my tech manual so i go check ? but not a big deal to make a few changes if i need too .
Trent, the side bars need to cross over your elbow height while holding the wheel, if I'm remembering right. I don't have my rule book here.
Nice work!

Cool, but if your worried about passing tech., cover up those grinder marks on the welds!
Trent,
They don't certify rollbar's to my knowledge. It is up to each track you go to
I will get some pics up this weekend , the kit came with "outriggers" to use basically rectangle tubing welded to the frame and the bar welded to the rectangle tubing .Got any pics of how you tied into the frame at the main hoop and door bars?
I'm fairly sure you only have to have a NHRA tech certify the bar/cage if you're faster than a certain speed. Not sure on what the break is though.
That's a cage, not a bar. I don't think a cage is required until sub 9 seconds.Nice Job.:thumb: You might think of adding from the floor by the e brake pedal, up the A-pillar to roof and back to the main hoop, and connect both along the top of the windshield ,will keep the A - pillar from crushing, and then the bar along the door would go from the base of the new A-pilalar bar to were it is know on the main hoop. . and a X-Bar behind the seat. Hope this helps.
I won't argue the safety aspect, but most people (including myself) don't even want to put a bar in their truck. A cage is even worse.Going 12's or 9's same thing happens if you roll, the a pillar crushes down. Better safe while he is doing it.
