Just the make it clear , I have not decided if i would recomend somebody buy this kit yet , I meen i do feel for the money it is a decent option but untill i get it inspected or go to a track to pass tech i cant say for sure , I do know at a minum you would have to make your own drivers side door bar the ones that come in the kit are to short to meet the requirement its not a big deal i mean 1 stick of DOM and some time to notch it , but something to keep in mind , so far other than that it looks like it will be fine , tyhe height of the main bar is borderline I think it will pass the min requiremnt but bairly for a guy my height it has to be 3" above the drivers helmet . If you were to build a outrigger to go up through the floor an inch or 2 it would be prefect so I guess the deal is if a guy were creative it can be made to work pretty easily but it is not just weld in as is .

IIRC Chris posted a pic long ago on what it should look like

:thumb: NICE!

Estimated weight?

the bars and main hoop weighed in at 71 lbs and outriggers probably added 20 lbs ( maybe ) so rough guess is 90-100 lbs just some helpful info for others.... 1.75 .120 wall DOM tubing weighs about 2.08 lbs per foot , and is damn expensive .59 per Inch ....

I picked up a stick today to remake the door bar this weekend :D

That's about 25% of the cost of a custom one from a very reasonably priced welding shop.

Thats the idea Ken , I would never suggest that this is a better option but if your on the cheap its a way to go racing that most could afford :thumb:

X2 Please

Must be a long weekend in the U.S.:D

Ted i just was on the phone with you and Simon , i could have had you a pic in 5 min if you would have told me  , in short i just used rectangle tubing ( 1/4" thick wall ) 3x6 or 3x8 cut length to the max i could fit between the body and frame , then just "but" welded the main hoop to the "top" of the square tube and welded the square tube to the side of the fraim rail , and yes the square tube went higher than the top of the frame rails . I can post some pics up tomorrow but the truck is out side and its dark and raining right now .
