Roasting tires

I see all these post over on the place, stating "My tires will just shred off and fly into orbit from a standing punch" My question is how much of this is BS. Cause with no brake boosting my truck wont squeal the tires until it hits 2nd gear.

Would my 315-75-16 tires affect this that bad?

My truck will spin the tires in 1st, 2nd and chirp them in 3rd.. 305 Nitto Terra grapplers..

If I would deck mine from a dead stop it will spin into 3rd. It will spin in 1st anytime.I need more power I want to do 4 wheel drifts!!! :rofl:

I have 35s, and if I go more than 95% throttle, just from a stop, no boost, it will roast the tires through 3rd.

put mine in the pit 1 time wow did they burn. like hours but was way to much black smoke for me and i think it bothered the ranger also :rofl: .

j/k i can get a good run with my 315 toyo's into 2nd from a stand still start depending on settings sometimes a 3rd gear kik over.

Neither truck will even get close to breaking them loose from a dead stop without powerbraking...The dually will bark 2nd gear with some torque table changes, but my LLY rarely chirps the 285s...Maybe all these stories come from trucks with 245s

i havent been able to spin my tires in 1st, they start to loosen up right before the shift. when second hits they light up and about mid way through 3rd they hook. thats with 1/2 tread 285s.

anyone have any tips to bring the charger on quicker in first?

I'll try it as soon as my head gaskets are fixed. I might even get the wifey to record it. I was watching LB7 Diesel's video and go on to BMDMax's and she happened to see them. Her question---Is that why your truck is in the shop--to be able to do that now? I told her I need a bigger turbo first! :angel:

I have to call bs. MY truck the the mc 105 and htt will kill them is 2nd but 1st is a slug. Now if I boost it a completely different story. I should have a video up by thur. of a dead stop no boosting run.

My truck has always been an under achiever.

I just went out and played in my 01 lb7 stock everything except ~130-140 horse tune. It will start to squeal them in first.

I think we (the lly guys) are still missing some tq tables in efi.
