Neither truck will even get close to breaking them loose from a dead stop without powerbraking...The dually will bark 2nd gear with some torque table changes, but my LLY rarely chirps the 285s...Maybe all these stories come from trucks with 245s

To clarify, I was referring to the 2 trucks I plug my laptop into :D

I will see if I can get my buddy at work to record it, I am pretty sure that if I just punch it that it will go about 10 feet than light them up. If I load my race tune then I am pretty sure that the tires will fry from the get-go.

I think this is a key statment and Wolf might be right. I'm, pretty sure it can't be done in an LLY unless you own a Casper.:D

I'm going to fail my own homework assignment because it snowed last night and I don't think I will be able to find dry pavement by Thursday. :(

I have to call bs. MY truck the the mc 105 and htt will kill them is 2nd but 1st is a slug. Now if I boost it a completely different story. I should have a video up by thur. of a dead stop no boosting run.

i have modified mcrats tune on the low/midrange quite a bit

I'm gonna have to call BS on the dead stop smokin 1st theory on a LB7 with stock Turbo, CP3, and Sticks...My truck is no Slouch and it will not Light up the Tires in 1st..Maybe at the end of 1st into 2nd....Maybe....But when it hit's 2nd it'll Smoke them through 3rd.. I want someone to put there truck in drive, foot off the Brake and punch it.. I think we might have some Gears confused here..

I'll try it as soon as my head gaskets are fixed. I might even get the wifey to record it. I was watching LB7 Diesel's video and go on to BMDMax's and she happened to see them. Her question---Is that why your truck is in the shop--to be able to do that now? :D I told her I need a bigger turbo first!

Oh No you don't!!!! They make Bigger Turbo's in Blue Bottles with Orange writing on them....:D

Didn't I send you a copy about a month ago?

No you don't have to be anyone special it is just a version of McRat's original LB7 tune. I think there are plenty of tunes floating around that may or may not be able to accomplish this feat. Thats why we are doing our homework to find out.

I found some dry pavement today, NO DICE!

I can't do it with my LLY, it just smokes like crazy then right before the 2nd gear shift it starts to let loose. I do however catch good rubber in 3rd, and 4th.

So, I'm curious if there are any LLY's out there that can actually do it (Casper excluded).

Kat, go give Blue a try.

My 05 CrewCab LLY won't spin the tires from a dead start! I also have a PPE trans stage 4. I think my problem is the 38"x15.50"x20" Nitto muddgrapplers with stock gears! LOL! The tires and wheels added 400#'s to the truck compared to the 245/70/16 baby tires!
