More logs..

I guess my braking system needs servicing too... set that ABS light, CEL for P0700, but no other trans codes stored..?

V2.

Question about rear speed sensor...

Jacked the truck up, and my tcase output shaft speed sensor plug can literally pull right out of the face of the sensor. It does not have a lock like you would think.. Is this normal or has the lock broken off?

Something is wrong with your t-case brian. Remember when we set off that p0742. Just read a thread that mike posted in that that code damn near never comes up and means there is something wrong in the t-case.

Out of curiousity, go do a dig in 2wd with a low boost launch

I just feel so strongly that its a hard part somewhere. It just does not respond to changes (ECM or TCM) that all other trucks do. Whether I leave it stock or modify it heavily, it continues to do the exact same thing.

RPM passes the designated shift speed&RPM, and immediately the ECM begins to reduce mm3. It continues to pull it down until the shift is made then mm3 goes back to where it is commanded.

It is waiting for something, and I dont know what it is waiting for.

1-2 waits the longest (reduces most mm3).
2-3 is then half of that.
3-4 is half again of the 2-3 reduction (which is not bad at all)
4-5 is normal.

Since it scales like that (is worse at lower gears) am I wrong to think it has something to do with slip or too vast of difference in the input/output shaft speeds??

Or that the sensors of such shafts are giving faulty readings?

I have. Does ot hang 1-2 because my tires will go up in smoke, but, the 2-3 will hang just as bad in 2wd as 4wd. I checked the tone ring long after when I first set that code and had no slop.

Check turbine and output speed sensors by locking trans in 4th. ( no TCC ) The numbers should read almost identical.

I agree.

Can you just ask for a lower rpm shift to compensate for it shifting higher than expected? Or will it not respond still because of a funny fueling? Has anyone else tried tuning it?

i saw a couple when i worked at dealer, snap ring that holds output bearing breaks and output speed reluctor walks, trans shifts real funny, but the graph for the actually speed looks pretty decent. you will have to pull tcase apart to find it. happens on the borq warner rounded style tcases, not the older ones that rub through. but maybe we have an exception to that rule

Pretty sure thats exactly what they were doing before.....but it was still doing it to a certain extent.
