I would think that if the shifts are effected it is more of a torque issue than a rail pressure issue. ECM/TCM is expecting x and getting y so the trans acts weird. Kind of like a defuel issue would make the trans hang or shift harsh That is same thing that was happening with leaking up pipes. So I agree with you Josh on the simple fact of low rail pressure in itself is not causing the shift issue.

from the first logs and i didnt read anything else but the first page it doesnt look like the box is working. It only locks up after the TCM commands lockup in 4th gear. Unless its supposed to do that, which seems odd to me. Usually you will see lockup in 2nd gear or something alot sooner than 4th. Also you will out of the blue see the tc locked, way before the tcm commands on the lockup boxs.

Right ben, this was with the box on "auto". If i force lock the converter halfway through 2nd via me hitting the button when brian does a dig, truck acts the exact same. I have no log of it as we were hitting lots of buttons at the time and i didnt hit record.

Friday we will get some better logs. Im gunna log my truck as well as the whole commanded shift vs actual gear seems off and wrong to me but thats tthe first ive logged those pids

I have my liftpump on a toggle switch and only turn it on when racing. If I forget to turn it on my 4-5 shift will hang so long I get a shudder and limp the trans. With the liftpump on it clicks them off perfectly. Low fuel preasure definately affects shift quality.

Next time you do it, get a log. Actually, I'll go unplug my lift pump and see what happens myself.

Does it still hang up if the tc is locked already? Like have you tried rolling into with it already locked in th

Had a guy give up and sell his LLY bc of this. Broke 2 flex plates and a flywheel, never figured it out. Fuel pressure at the filter head was spot on and desired and actual were within 4% of each other. We did find that the trans pressures were going nuts during the bad shift, but never could figure out why. Pulled the trans and it was perfect, looked almost new...

Good luck...

Pulled the fuse out of my lift pump, and took my truck for a drive. Here's what the log says.
