does it matter that they are programmed with different VINs, OS's, and Calibration numbers??
gotta make sure im there for this
Not to derail, but James are you doing a compression test on your truck already?
I ran an '01 on my '04 LB7 for years. Many times I switched TCM's ( '01-'04 LB7 ) with cutomers to diagnose problems. Never had any issues.
thats great to know! the 05 5speed tcm wont work though correct? just 01-04?
I thought 05 had some additional solenoid or something?

The '05 will work but will throw a code for the G solenoid.
Not always. I put an 05 LLY TCM in my BURB and had nothing coming out of it except a LONG list of trouble codes. Flashed it to an 01 and it has been that way for over 3 years. The 01-04 LB7 TCM will swap right into any of the 5 speed trucks, but the LLY one can freak out is in an LB7 app with no G solonoid as it happened in my BURB. Then again that was in a stand alone type swap.
You have a control problem. I don't see a hanging shift being caused internaly. Call me anyways.
3500 max. What rpm are you wanting it to shift at?
Also you are running out of fuel....down 3000psi. low rail pressure will make it hang shifts...
You maf needs some work
3500 max.
Dual fuela time
If low rail pressure will make it hang a shift, why would my 4-5 never skip a beat? Just thinking outloud here.
I found the original DSP2 tunes the truck came with when I bought it. Going to load a bone stock TCM tune, and the DSP tunes and go drive it and see where we are at. I dont ever remember it shifting like crap when I worked on this truck previous to me buying it. With my 20% tips, I dont think Ill have a roblem holding 2300Us on the "big" tune.
Doubt it will be much better as the tune you are running now is around 2180Us. Try a NON DSP file and see what it does.
