I'm really tempted to get a set of these to put in while the truck is in pieces.

What is the stock shock lenght extended/compressed? Found some QA1 coilovers that are 19.5/13.0

Compressed Length 10.25 Inch
Extended Length 15.5 Inch

that is the length of the ones i used . those might work with your lift..........
best thing to do is remove yout torsons and measure at the actual ride height for extended and compressed .

They are new Proma Star QA1's PN#DDR8855B with 130# springs new for $400. I was thinking of using them with the lift to get more drop, and loose another 100lb. Im sure the springs are too lite for the truck though.

ya the springs are way too light but if the price was right new springs can be had for 150 bucks or so . i think you would need at least a 600 # spring if more but i dont have a clue . only problem i can see using the coil overs is it would be a pain to lower them to go to the track and race . unless you raced at your normal ride height .

Say, did anyone find out if Henry's pick for rear shocks was the correct one? Were they long enough with enough travel? Just how important is it to have adjustable rears?

Hmm...I wonder what a used set of Bilsteins is worth?

All the big drag racers i have talked to said def go with the double adjustable. I ordered the fronts for mine last week, but im waiting on the rear, should my rear ride heigth depend on which ones i order? Ive seen several listed, eventually im going with double adjustable all the way around. I just used the number Trent used for the front, Thanks Trent.

Rob your ordered the QA1s for the rear also?

Im thinking some Pro-comps or Ranchos talk me into the QA1s would ya:D

My doctor said so last week...

Stock suspension/spring clamps are primary. Snubber was added, but doesnt have to be drawn down. I do have a set of 2" stop blocks I can install.

Tom, if you are ever going to lower your butt then you should consider this before spending the coin.

IMO we dont need as much adjustment on the rear as we do the front,Maybe im wrong but i think a good stiff rear shock should be fine

I must say though its a dream with the front QA1s I am so happy i spent the money on them,And a properly tuned suspension is all part of racing

Tom Trent posted right after I posted the part# for the rears that match the front.that they were a few in shourt but should work fine,I think they were the same length as the doubles that he posted of someone else did.My back end is lowered 3" so they would work for me.

I havent yet, im still trying to decide what im going to do with the rear suspension, im gonna try a few trips to the tracks leaving the bilsteins in the rear and see how it does. Then if i get Qa1s for the rear, ill talk you into it too.:D

OK, they're ordered. Im with Rhall...going to try the fronts only first, then buy the rears if needed.

Just went and picked up a set of QA1 double adjustable shocks today :D I'm still trying to get over the price, I hope this wedsnesday at the track will change that haha. My truck is nowhere close to Trents or Toms but it is a 12 second LB7 so we'll see what these do for me. Does anybody know a good setting to start at and work from there? Thanks

Thanks, I just read through the whole thread and saw where you said you werent sure about mix matching brands. I have rancho 9000s on the rear so I'm going to give it a shot I'll let you know how it goes.
