if it's a dedacated puller you might consider something that is rebuildable so you can change the valving to get enough rebound damping.

the cheapest thing I have found is the doetsch tech 2.0 monotube at $117 for an emulsion shock.

I checked them out, do you think it would have as much rebound dampning potential as the qa1?

I want to get a set of these for the front. But there are so many different part numbers floating around, that as soon as I think I have the right one, I find something that contradicts it and gives another part number.

Someone who has the shocks wanna help out?
My truck has the bars dropped all the way down and 2" drop out back.
Pn for DA qa1's front?
Pn for SA QA1's rear?
Special bushings, sleeves or bolts I need to make them fit?

I used part # DTC1538P but that's actually an old number and there's a new part number. I've got them in my car, I'll post the number in the morning.

These are for the front correct? How about the single adj ones for the rear? Or would the rancho 9000's be a better bang for the buck?

As soon as I get the correct pn's, I'm buying them. So hopefully today I won't have to worry about it.

Those are the double adjustables for the front.

I don't have the part number for the rear, but I'm just going to try some cheap ranchos.

I don't expect gold out of my anus. :) I know nick. I don't think I'll run with the best with only QA1's. And my truck is dropped with Goodyear GTII's. I stay away from mud lol. I've just gotten to the point that I need to pay more attention to my setup. If not, I'm gonna end up with a billion HP and run low 11's bc I just get sketchy at the beginning.
My thoughts are to keep the street tires, tune the suspension until I cut consistent 60's that are low enough To move to slicks.

Shocks are stock with an ungodly amount of miles right now. Soooooooooo..... Shocks are a MUST. Period.

Any of you guys that run QA1's have any advice on were to start on the adjustments with these things? Should I just go half and half then work from there?

What's the ideal way to have the suspension set up? My guess would be to have really tight rebound to keep the front end down and have the rear a little softer to allow the truck to squat. Is this about right?

I also got some single adjustable ranchos for the rear. Should I soften them up?

I went from upper 1.7s to mid 1.6s just adding the qua1s. That was with a pretty cheap cooper tire on h2 rims. Et streets dropped me down to low 1.5s. I kept my rebound maxed out, and i dont remember what compression was set at.
