Was wanting to go with a 17x9 with a +12 offset, I hate cleaning these cranks, that and they rub the a arm and sway bar, not as bad with the straight centerlink but still looks gay with that big bumper and skinny wheels.

i thought these ones he got would grow on me but the more i look at them, the more i dont like them. he had a set of 18" black methods on it before and i thought it looked sweet with them.

the gun metal gray they use on the wheels isnt an exact match to the truck color. maybe thats what keeps me from liking them. when the sun hit them, they turn a light gray color compared to the pain. makes it look "off" but i look at colors all day long as part of quality control so its easy to pick out the little difference in color

I'm not giving you crap about the plugs. I could care less that you forgot them, I didn't have to fix it!

Call me crazy, but I don't trust people with cleaning duties. If I get a part back from machining that has NOT been assembled, that baby gets a scrub down.

i got ya. it still got one as it was opened in the garage and i needed to measure everything. after all that was done, i gave it a quick rinse down to get off any little bit of dust/dirt.

i may have been a bit on the defensive mode about the plugs and posting about it. i was expecting some kinda internet hero post to come about about it soon so i was on defense lol. sorry about that

Lol it was funny I brought that up then you had that same problem with the front plug to

Lol seriously! I didn't even try messing with the wiring the next day. Just dove into pulling the front cover off

In other news, she's about 90% done. Just needs the front light assembly's installed, grill, intake, egr probe put in, steering shaft and drop the pan for a filter change and new fluid. She got a nice warm up today and full inspection for any leaks. Nothing came up.

Little vid of the awesome Danville scream.

Welp, Levi will be going to see Mike soon. The old stage 3 with 100k and 8 years of abuse is in no way going to hold the new power

Fluid was nasty as hell too. Guy that owned the truck before Levi was hard on the old girl and Levi was no easier lol.

And Mike, at some point today I'll get my internal filter out and check it out lol

Sure! But I ain't doing any more till after summer lmao so don't win it then

My tolerance for the heat diminished substantially starting at about age 47, (54 now I think, your memory goes too) if I plan to work outside, started by 4 AM on whatever I'm doing and done by 11 AM in the shade I'm OK till 3 PM...:thumb:

Well with the amount of water (beer) you retain, your like a damn camel! I'd die in 20 min.

I finished at about 1 today and I'm done for the day. I can work in the garage all day long in the heat but I have my big swamp cooler going. Now that the truck is out of the way, I can get the swamp cooler back in there but didn't have it today.

Truck is pretty much done. Did a test run today and no major issues. The damn little Trans seal I put on the shifter shaft is leaking but that's it.

This 68 is awesome! Even with a base tune it spools fast! Like beyond what I was expecting and Once we get tuning dialed I can see it spooling as fast as stock! It sure screams though. Straight pipe dumped under the bed lets you hear it for sure lol

Yea, I live in small holes with zero ventilation on boats. You want to talk about hot, our lows are in the high 80's in the summer. Big fun for me, I have a terrible time just staying somewhat hydrated.
