We had to run our crank trigger wires away from all other wires because it was causing interference from everything else. It wouldn't pull the timing when I hit the nitrous. Was the way we found it. I had set the computer up for it but the timing light showed different. Called Msd and they said to move it away and that fixed it.

Do you run the 7AL3, Digital 7, or GRID? We went from the AL3 to the digital 7 and alot of our ignition issues went away. We also run the 27,000 microfarad MSD capacitor on the power lines for system filtering and run a shielded crank trigger cable.

Jcw wiring is coming over in a couple of weeks to re wire the firebird and camaro
I've seen his work, he does good. I referred him to a friend that builds buggies because he knows what he's doing. Plus he knows how to run an LS motor, which is what my friend's buggy has. When my dakota goes off the street for good, I'll probably wire up half of it and have him to the other half. Right now the battle is getting a V6 into the 9.99 window for super pro and pro so I can put a delay box on it, because I can't footbrake it for crap in eliminations...yet I can be 00-20 in TT's. I'm tempted to throw a set of 26x9.5-15 DOT hoosiers on it and see what it does. The 32" AT's on it now just kill the bottom end, even with 4.10's. And it's an open diff, so I'm trying to get as much weight on the right rear corner as I can to keep it from spinning.

They are an outlaw track so they don't have to follow NHRA or ihra rules. As long as it doesn't leak anything and will make it down the track you are good.

Insurance requirements are the same. You just don't have all the other crap associated with it. The owners are racers themselves so they understand how much it cost. They always have a good turnout at every race.

yea, when denton went from NHRA to IHRA, Gene said it was over 10,000 a year difference.

Just too bad we're losing Crandall. Kennedale will likely also be gone in the near future, and Redline is in the middle of an environmental lawsuit. Denton as far as I know has gotten out of bracket racing, leaving Little River, Motorplex, and Ardmore. We were going to run Crandall and Motorplex, but now it's looking more like Motorplex primary and a hodgepodge of anything else secondary. I'm in close touch with Eric @ Motorplex and he also races (that's how he got the job as competition director, ironically) and he's working on making that program better.

Motorplex- fair
Kennedale- slipndale
Crandall- water seepage and timing system issues as well as operations issues & now sold
Red Line- brackets on friday night at other end of metroplex
Little River- freakishly narrow but really not far away
Denton- no more bracket racing & Gene doesn't have people skills
Ardmore- Long drive but may be worth it
Paris- out in the middle of every bit of nowhere
Wichita- sold and questionable at the moment

Well if y'all decide to come this way we would love to have y'all over here. Track is pretty much always good. I pulled some timing out to slow me down last race but the temps were in the low 30's. I was dialing 4.56

I saw the dial on the firebird's window and had to double take. TS car I'm guessing? Or S/G off the stop?

Got this from Tommy Keeter a couple days ago. Next year's big expenditure if the budget allows. We already have a top end quote from James Monroe for a 10-71 and dual terminators. Between that and the quote below, heads are the only thing not accounted for.

We were going to do it this year, but after our friends Kyle Copeland blew his up and Taryn Greene rolled her dragster (both at NHRA bracket finals), we backed off to learn slow. After all the invoices and bills came in, we were glad we waited.

Just a fast bracket car. 588 with conventional heads in the firebird. 604 with 12 degree heads in the dragster. Both iron blocks. Kpe builds some nice motors.
