My 94 Thundercat with a PSI 1050 lake race motor. We never get enough snow to constitute riding it though :(
Im a big fan of the t cat and the 1050 Hooper motor my trail rider is a 1050 over bored to a 1080 ( because pistons are alot cheaper:D) I also had a 93 t cat

I love the power the 1050 makes, just worried that with my lack of luck with two strokes those precious PSI pistons will be expensive to replace.

Im a big fan of the t cat and the 1050 Hooper motor my trail rider is a 150 over bored to a 1080 ( because pistons are alot cheaper:D) I also had a 93 t cat

I rocked a 93' T-cat back n the day to Scott:thumb: That sucker would eat Storm's & Chit V-max 4's all day long... Didn't handle to good though and would eat a belt or 2 a ride. I didn't know much about tuning a sleds clutches or suspension back then:eek:

Specs are: 1700cc DNE Performance ski-doo based 4 cylinder hand built by my father and myself, garrett gtx4202, dual tial wastegates, blow off and stainless housing, custom a/a intercooler with spearco core, ams500 boost control. The list goes on and on. Chassis and suspension are Anderson units that we modifed for ifs. The engine made 704hp/443ft.lbs tq on 24psi last winter. Best speed do date is low 160'smph in just over 660ft when the belt snapped at 15psi. We have .new stronger belts for the season. We hope to touch 200mph in 1320ft this season if we can make a clean pass under full power. If there is anything else you want to know just ask.

Lol... Sled guy's are the only people I think that are crazier than Diesel guy's... & your both:thumb:

PSI???? you mean Hooper dont you? do you run a thicker base plate under the cylinders? Stroked Crank?

I run Stock crank and 1050 Hooper jugs with no plate.You can run rmk polaris over bore pistons to make the motor a 1080.I wasnt going to spend 150 a piston from Hooper so i found a better alternitive for 85 a piston just had to bore them and replate now im good to go.

Wow. That thing must be like riding a blur!! Cant imagine that. Ive been 140-155mph on mod sleds, but those were 400hp sleds. Cant fathom 700 in a sled.

Went riding out west in Wyoming last year (Togwotee). My father-in law brought me and my brother-in laws out there. One of the best times of my life! 1st day we went off trail with a guide. He had only 1 arm and his nick name was "Lefty" lol. He was amazing at maneuvering the sled. They didn't have a ton of snow when we went but it was still plenty for us to get stuck a lot. Haha

I smoke a belt this weekend. Sucks at about a hundred bucks a whack. Not to mention going over the bars when it let go lol
