Lol been there! I usually carefully press the old bearings of and nix them in the lath so they hand press back on to do my set-up. Unless they are that far gone.

Lathe is on the list with end mill..
Used die grinder and a burr bit for setup bearings.

Running the nuy in on final assembly is a PITA spent 2 hours finding/making a bar to hold the Pinion still so I could TQ the nut down with a 4' 3/4" bar. Darn thing took 15hrs to do... :eek:o
Be quick next time since I've been there done that now have right tools.
Got TCM shift points adjust
70mph is 2300 in 5th and 2000 6th vs 1900 5th and 1600 6th.
Another advantage 5/6 jump is less then the 5/4 jump.

See what happens on trip to Denver co and back

Lol yes a end mill would be awesome!!! Usually I hold the pinion with a glove and hit it with an impact a couple times then set the in.lb. wrench up and keep checking drag untill desired is reached. Sounds like that gear ratio will serve you good!

Not a Duramax but still a diesel. Replaced the Ford tcase in the mud truck so it's mobile again. Going to replace the pinion brake caliper and bolt on my 66" v treads this week. hopefully be ready to test it out this weekend.

Finally able to get home and work on my dads Graystone CCSB 08' with 320,000 miles. This truck is a closed course competition truck only:thumb:
1. Found the cause of the p087 code. Fuel line was kinked at the left rear of the engine just as a few others had mentioned... I was going to cut out the bad and install a repair but...
2. Install Airdog II 100gph for a 6.4 ford. Stole this bad boy off of E-bay brand new with install kit for 100 bucks and a ride to Idaho:woott: Wouldn't you know it, the Ford quick coupler airdog hoses hook right up to the GM tank and engine fuel fittings. Drilled the frame to mount the pump, ran the wiring, ran fuel lines and bypassed all the GM supply lines from the tank to the engine... No more friggin P087
3. TransGo Jr.
4. EGR blocker:mad: This sucker fought me tooth and nail, the last LMM I did was literally 20 minutes. I bet I have 4-5 hours into this one:rofl:
5. Corsa 4" downpipe back exhaust. Great exhaust system but it would have been easier to install if the stupid pipes would have been flared properly... It was a struggle but we won. Great mellow sound at idle but throaty once you get on it.
6. Righteyeblind/Burn Down custom tune:thumb: Reece built this tune a few years back, holy heck does it run good for stock trans/shift kit only and no lift pump... I bumped the pulse just a smidge and worked over a egr code that popped on Dads truck but none of the others I have it loaded on:confused: Anywho fingers crossed I got them, cause I leave a 6 am in the morning...

He has his damn camper in the bed so I have had to behave so I didn't huck the whole thing out into the street:rofl: Still put a smile on my face:D

Nice! Still with the original you know whats?:D

Yep.

I noticed they are hazing or my truck is burning off something (I have a small leak on the front end somewhere) because I noticed a haze when I rolled my windows down to back up in the dark last night. I've never noticed it hazing in the daylight though. They were all still within tolerance the last time I checked them but that's been well over a year ago, just not too many miles since then.

The FPR is sticky so its been surging a bit for a while. I'm halfway afraid to open up the fuel system to swap it though since the injectors have made it this long - even with just having OE filter & rarely run any additive besides 2-cycle oil from time to time.

But I think I'll spend some tax returns on a fresh fuel system in the spring. New & bigger Injectors (thinking 45 or 60 overs), CP3 (IDK whether LBZ/LMM or maybe a sportsman) & FPR and then add a lift pump and extra filtration. :thumb:

Replaced plastic capillary tubing for oil pressure guage,
Re sealed DS axle shaft flange
Had Napa make two new tranny cooler lines to reple the failed and failing FPE hoses.. Where the O rings are leaking

Now I'm using coolant.. Not.making oil, no white smoke no noticeable leaks, but using coolant and collapsing upper radiator hose...
Threw some blue devil in the coolant system... Soni can finish up the trip to Denver and back.. .:(
This trip would have funded rebuilding my LMM ening

No shit all you had to do was drill the frame? Might need to keep an eye out for one then.

That sucks Adam. Sorry to hear
