Camping in a canvas wall tent without a heater and night time temps of -20 was a bit of a challenge. I didn't have to worry about meat spoiling, actually lost some meat to freezer burn. First time that has happened to me. We had to boil water at night to place in our cooler to keep the beer from freezing.

I think I would've slept in the truck, or left at that point lol thats some serious determination. Truck looks good, i like the chains on the wheels lol Good kills:thumb:

My 15 year old son and a 14 year old friend each killed a buck. My son made a nice 300 yard heart shot on his first 4x4 buck. Barely made it out with all four chained up. 5200' at the bottom and climbing up to 8800' summit. We passed a snowmobile that thought we were nuts.

Does anyone know if it's possible to install a Merchant automotive pump rub kit for the 263 xhd without removing the case out of the truck? Could I just remove the rear housing of the case and install the kit?

Rob, you're a heck of a man! Even if I wanted to, I couldn't physically hunt the places you post about. Just too far beyond my physical abilities to go. But you sure have seen some of Gods greatest treasures on earth & harvested animals many have never even seen alive. Just very respectable. Kudos bud.

Pull the tcase out! I wouldn't even consider pulling half of it out. It's not a hard job. Did it on my garage floor. I think the most time I spent on it was scraping the old gasket material off.

Sitting here reading stuff on the forum and discovered I have a small little rodent in my apt. He will die tomorrow as I'm not going to get traps right now. Dang mice anyways!

That is what my excavator looked like after a bunch of demo work. It had gotten packed with insulation between the radiator and oil cooler.

That's a great trip. I would love to do a hunt like that. In the Midwest we just take a nap in the truck sitting on a field lane until the sun comes up. Then shoot the deer as they come out of the woods to feed. Here in the south we take the SxS out to the blind in a tshirt. Pop open a beer and the window facing the feeder and wait for the feeder to come on. A hard hunt was when I had 4 deer on the ground by 9am and it was time to start field dressing them or got stuck.

Sent from my iPhone digging a ditch near you.

I went shopping for some meat.

I totally breezed right by this post and picture. That looks like a great trip despite the temps. Where were you hunting? Do you ever talk to Nathan anymore? He kind of disappeared from the diesel stuff, but I know he liked to hunt.

Took a pressure washer with a 20° fan/flat tip and spent ~30 minutes cleaning it...
Got the tuck up and running couple hours ago.. Definitely takes a lot longer to warm up. Transmission temp seams to be running 5-10° cooler running around with no trailer..
Went and bought some heat reflective sheathing. LMM run heater core supply over the turbo along with rubber pipe, put some there and here OEM lines where leaking.. Figure it would easier to do it while the engine is out, I don't need to blow a line in a hotel parking lot this winter
