I'm sure tuning has some say in it. And I'm not pulling a 8' wide brick through the wind... Its 40° outside temp
Since I cleaned out the radiator.. Ect is 180-185, oil temps 185-190 (with aux oil cooler) Tranny temps running 115-120° I do have FPE lines and I put thermo sleaves next to the exhaust

I run a few different tunes in the lbz, 70-150 horse. I try very hard not to ever tow at the 150 tune, but it has happened and forced my to 4th gear to keep temps in check, loads are kept light as possible in those few times.

Trans runs 180* while towing heavy in the lbz 200 plus has happened in the hilly stuff and 165ish in the lml when very heavy in the summer 210 has happened

Tinted the LBZ, put my LB7 20's on it, and got about 100lbs of dirt off the truck. Bought some 3" drop shackles. Pulled the stock tune and making a nice 50hp tow tune. Also ordered a B&W gooseneck hitch for it.

Trans does not like 115/120 temps. It feels at home running 175.

I have an OEM cooler with FPE lines with thermo sleave to protect them from exhaust..

Before I pulled the engine, and cleaned the radiator out. tranny ran 130-140° down the freeway. In the summer. Only time it ever got hotter than that.. Was stop n go traffic and not fast enough for TC lock up. It would push 180-190° would drop to 140° within a mile of being at 55+ mph.

As for power all I can tell you is I run a 1750uS pulse tune 4" Jegs exhaust from turbo down pipe back, lift pump swiss cheese the air box which dynoed just over 400/800 at the tires, that tune is basically same tune I put on it when I got it home

Sounds good adam, im always open to ideas on helping our rigs out and help them live longer. Thanks man

I just rolled 170,000 on the ODO got the truck with mid 90k back in August '13.

BTW how's your AT3s doing? I got ~40k on mine rotating every 20k. I'm sitting right around 50% tread left. Be pretty cool if I could get another 30-40k out of them pending how winter chews them up :/

My front start cupping bout the 20k mark. Only thing I have replaced is up/lower ball joints no braces done yet... I do get excessive outside edge wear.. Pretty much wrote that off as short wheel base and oversteer, from rear not wanting to turn while loaded and accelerating. Front axle is ~4200lbs and I keep the tires at 80psi

Fired my truck up for the first time in 3 months or so. Started as soon as I hit the key, not bad for not being plugged in. Let it run for 20 min or so, then shut her down again. Roads are a mess, and I have no way currently of getting it to my new place. :( Soon though, I forgot how many parts I have collected for this thing.

The lml is lwb. I run the fronts at 60 psi to stop porpous when loaded and 80 in the rear, Lb7 did it to but it ate rear insides up in 20k miles. Lbz has porpoused a few times with 13k off the reciever, but i run 35 psi in the back and 40 in the front as it hasnt towed big yet i havent got the b&w in yet so that would be the issue there. I think we need weight off the front axles. Considering a 3rd axle on the heavy 48' previsions are there already. But dexter wants way too much money for that axle. 15k oil baths with single hub.

i know we are askin alot of the truck whe fully laden but it pulls very nice gotta figure somthing out im rotating every 10k miles right now and with alcoas on the outside its a bitch to rotate to inside from the front. I have one side white letter out and the other whites in. Tire machine crapped out half way through the job. Aint no way i was gonna spoon thise bitches off and on.
