I finally installed my egr delete from sinister, and flashed my efi live tunes. Now I have excessive white smoke when I start it cold until it warms up? Any ideas?

White smoke when cold is normal even on a healthy engine
This was at 10° on my old hotshot. (Lbz) engine with finger pistons. My LMM (stock pistons) smokes white for little bit but not this much..

Fwiw smoking white at operating temp means something is wrong

How cold is it? The egr system aids in warm up, all mine have puffed white at start up but that's it. If its really cold I've seen them smoke for 2 mins or so...

I guess 25-30psi boost for 1200 miles was enough for the HG. Time for LML bolts and HG.. Good thing I'm bob tailing home.. Not to mention had plenty of issue with p02E7 code

Interesting. Soooo. Why not stud it?

I don't like the idea of studying it without have it torque plate honed especially with the loads I put on it for sustained periods of time. I remember being told back in 08 that the studs can flex the walls enough to bind the piston up on a block that hasn't been tq plate honed with studs.
I'm short I don't want to speed 600 for studs, then X miles later rip a piston and be force to buy stuff at a I need it now price..

I split a piston due to sustained high oil temps at less then 360hp... That cost me ~4500.00 in parts not including down time

With new pwtc of ~.0015" and only 162,000 on the truck it wouldn't take much flex to catch a piston..

With your horrible luck or whatever you wanna call it why do you still have a dmax, you need yo step up to medium duty platform

70,000 miles since buying it, first serious mechanical issue on the truck.. ~600 in parts and long weekend I will be rolling Monday..
I still have no love for VVT turbos...

As for medium 4/5 trucks they are too heavy empty for what I'm targeting I'd lose profit due to increase overhead
