^^^ That's bad ass Ken! Is that custom built?
I know your stand on the issue James. And I respect it I just have my own and you know it lol. Either way all the three make great trucks IMO just each has it's own use and area where it excels. And for me moving back to AK and probably going to work in the oil fields I felt a Ford was what fit those needs best.
Yes built by him. Name is Dave Grindstaff and he lives here in Central Oregon. You should see his dolly. Put air bags on it with a compressor so he could change the camber to make it back easy. Great guy and actually a mad inventor at heart. He also builds compound turbo kits for Cummins and does exhausts and other things like gauges, lift pumps, tuners, and most any small performance add on. Very very precise when he does something, good thing it is just a hobby business, he is not fast but when he is done you couldn't do better work yourself period.
Not a Ford guy but they do have their place. I'm with Mike, I'm old and hate being on my knees and crawling into the bed of my truck sucks. I'd also use the crap out of the step if I had one. Also I like to see a dmax do this. My buddies 6.4 it will turn completely inside my dmax as far as turning radius. This is a 21' fiberglass boad with trailer and he now tows a 34' 5th wheel on a dolly that he also made and tows behind his 6.4 450. That thing is hell for stout.
Any pictures of how he backs the boat on there?
Nothing that shows it any better he has a winch built into the loader and pulls it on and backs it down with it. Everything slides right into the frame for storage and travel works slick as hell. That's a serious outboard hanging off the back of that boat too. I'll ask him to send me some pictures of the dolly and big 5th wheel that he tows when he has the boat loaded. Thing the entire thing weighs about 30K. here are a couple more of the loader.
