I put a bolt in mine, the fleece plug I used had the provision for one. It does go in tight enough you probably wouldn’t have to, but just for peace of mind I did.

Woooohooo got the pos out! Time to swap gear over and re assemble! Taking a little victory break lol. Super excited right now! Deleted the factory filter head and the mess of lines! Cleaning this engine bay up big time. My pile of parts is huge, after dropping full def tank too I wouldn’t be surprised if I drop a good 200lbs lol. Weight reduction and more power, win win!

Got the cp3 and y bridge in! Fuel system side is 100% done. Deleted the factory filter and the mess of lines. 1/2” straight into cp3.

Coming along nicely looks like, and yeah my hsp kit came with that billet coolant plug for back there.. And also a bolt for it, seemed right but it did pop in there nice with just the oring but the bolt would provide some peace of mind.

Looking good Josh.

I had the exact same thoughts about the amount of parts that get removed.

Well it’s all done. Flashed tune in this morning heard fass running and then noticed it wasn’t running any more. Swapped fuse and still nothing. Going to get a relay now. Hopefully this works

I have no way to prime the system. I ran 1/2” straight from the cp3 to the quick connect on drivers side. If I could prime it then sure the cp3 should draw fuel through the fass

Looks good Josh, nice work.

FASS should take care of you. I had a check ball issue with mine, they got me the parts second day IIRC.

Can’t you pressurize the fuel tank a little to get it to prime? That’s a trick I have used on older trucks.

yup.

FWIW, when my lift pump died, my lines drained out. fired for a few sec then died. i cracked the feed line loose by CP3 and pressurized the tank some till fuel came out (rags packed around the filler hole and an air gun blowing in air). tighten it back up, cranked till it fired and never an issue after.

the primer just gets fuel up to the filter and through it. it will not get the air out of the cp3 or injector lines. as long as you get fuel to the back of the CP3 or near it, the suction pump on the back of the CP3 will take over. assuming no vac leaks in the lines.

Looks good Josh, I like that color. Is their a reason you left the def fill tube in? Or just haven't pulled it out yet?
Thanks! I haven’t pulled def tank yet lol, keeping that stock look for now i guess :roflmao:

Thanks, I sure hope they do. I’m a little worried as I never registered this pump. I found my invoice from alligator and it was purchased in September. I didn’t think about registering as my first fass on the lmm didn’t give me any hiccups for 3 years..

So if I pull my 1/2” hose off, pressurize tank till fuel flow attach to cp3 and crank I should be good?
