Oh for sure! Night and day difference between cp4 and cp3. I should have been 480hp on the cp4 but also was running stock intake and downpipe. My mid and top end are so much stronger! I’m at 1750uS 34 psi right now. Should be about 550-580 according to tuner. So probably a good solid 80-100hp gain at the wheels. I’m very happy with it, money was well spent.

you saying that stock trans will take 580? For how long?

Not long...I still have the CP4 and the biggest pickup in power was doing the trans. It was amazing to feel how much power it was pulling out because of the factory trans. Maybe I'm a little jaded because I absolutely hated the stock converter, but it was very noticeable.

I’m running epc fooler. Just serviced trans and put it in before I turned the power up. Several guys making 600 wheel horse on them.

Yeah stock converter sucks. So much wasted power when it’s unlocked. When it’s locked it pulls real hard. Unlocked is a joke
How is the idle with the cp3? And lope or surge?
Zero. First tune from Blake and it’s spot on. No sure no lope, mid range and everything is amazing. So responsive and smooth

Downpipe, cp3 conversion, full sdp kit with hotside and a lb7 up pipe I was between 3300-3500.

Too bad you're so far away I'd drop you a $1000 to install the parts on my truck.

There are a few folks that will say that trans is dying for sure at that level...... my next mod would be a good convertor... so far your choice for mods is spot on for seat of pants feel.

Oh I know. I did trans first in the lmm. I mainly just deleted and tuned the lml, drove it that way for the past 6 months and have been worried about the cp4 the whole time. This last go around was just for the cp3. I know the trans won’t stay forever but I don’t drive wfo everywhere. For the couple fun races here and there it will hold me over and I know I have a reliable setup with the cp3. The trans will get built forsure at some point. Maybe next winter I’ll make a trip out to Evan when work gets a little slower again.

Just drop the pan and put a dummy solenoid in to give it a change. If you haven't already.

Dropped it 3k miles ago before ever running any big tune. Put the fooler, 2 new filters and new fluid. Everything looked great. It was stock at 60k when I bought it, ran a 150hp tune with the fooler for the past 3k and finally upped it now with the cp3.

It’s definitely worth it. I have zero regrets, feel like it was definitely money well spent. Having the cp3 alone is such a stress relief, and I’m so glad I went with the sdp kit instead of some blocker plates and a intake

Shit it’s easy man you can do it

I’ve always said that to myself before I start a project on one of my trucks and then about half way into it when shit goes wrong, I always tell myself I’m paying for the next one because it’s not worth the hassle and frustration. Local diesel shop quoted multiple thousands to do it but that’s not worth it to me.
