I've never been a fan of DSP tunes, but I must say that this is pretty freakin' cool! Almost makes me want to use DSP tunes just so I can get one. Awesome product, Ben!

Can you post a picture of the display on the builders model. Is it just a box with the up down buttons?:thumb: Very cool.

Just wanted to let you guys know im still working on these.

I decided to redesign the modules slightly so I can utilize and take advantage of the next-gen microcontrollers that I just started using. These next-gen microcontrollers can do a lot more and will allow me to integrate MUCH more capability into a smaller package.

Ive currently redesigned the DSP-5 switch to incorporate my Allison lockup controls. Im working on integrating the tune selection with the lockup schedule, and also making lockup control automatic. :D

will the buttons be on the left or right side of the read out? i think the left side would be better so that your hand isnt in front of the tune when you change it on the pod.

Hey everyone- Sorry there has been a holdup in these. Ive been super busy in the shop so new product R&D has fallen a little bit behind schedule. :(

I have the software code all written for the switch, and the circuit board design pretty much finalized in CAD. The main holdup was finding a nice housing for the switch module and display, to mount in a pillar pod. However as of today I now have several on the way to prototype and test initial fitment and design.

I also have upgraded the design and rewritten the software to use the latest generation of microcontrollers which will allow me to add MUCH more capability. This will be a lot more than just a DSP-5 switch, and a lot more than I had originally envisioned. :D

As I said before, the module's functionality will be completely customizable to suit the individual buyer's needs.

Another thing I am designing into the DSP-5 switch is backwards compatibility with my existing lockup/unlock modules. That is, if you have already purchased one of my lockup controllers, it will have the ability to be slaved/integrated with the DSP-5 switch for increased functionality. I know how frustrating it is when you buy something and then it becomes outdated; I wont let that happen to you guys.

Great idea! How does everyone else feel about this?

If anyone else has any suggestions or ideas, feel free to throw them out...

One other question...for the gauge face where the buttons and LED display will be mounted, what sort of material would you guys like to see?

Glossy black (or other colored) rigid plastic
brushed aluminum
rough aluminum
reflective/mirror aluminum

I suppose I could also allow you to choose a background. For example if your other gauges in your pillar-pod mount have a black face, you could get the DSP-5 switch with a black face/background...

Yeah definitely, the LED tune/digit display will be available in blue, red, and green.

As for the "up" and "down" buttons, they can be either red, green or blue.

What do you guys think would be a good color for the buttons? I was thinking "green" for "increase power/tune" and "red" for "decrease power/tune". Or I can have both the buttons the same color, to match the LED display?

id like them to match the blue cause im planning on getting my stock gauges in that color. and if you have 3 different colors in one pod together it looks to much like a rainbow IMO.

Is the general consensus that the LEDs/lights on the little "up" "down" push-buttons should be the same color as the LED digit display itself?

IE, if you order a DSP-5 switch with a blue number display, both buttons will also be illuminated blue?

figured I would bump this up to the top...im currently ordering components for the final boards and want to get an idea of how many push-buttons of each color to order...
