Ive also made the valet mode "tamper resistant".

If you try to press the "up" or "down" buttons without flipping the valet switch back to "normal" the display will just blink and then lock itself out for 2 minutes. :D

A) too big/useful a spot to waste on just the little switch IMO.
B) people with regular cabs, extended cabs, and snow-plow-prep packages have that spot already taken
C) in my own truck, I like having the cubby too much to give it up. :)

well you are right lol. just an option. guess im only one that doesnt need that cubby! lol

OK guys, now that these are very close to production, here are some of the finalized technical details.

I will offer it in 2 different "packages":

Package 1 will be a self-contained unit inside a standard gauge housing. It will be enclosed all as one unit with an LED display and an "up" and "down" button on the front of the gauge face. This will fit anywhere a standard 2 1/16" will fit, in an overhead mount, pillar mount, etc.

Package 2 will be a "builders kit" or "DIY kit". There will be a small box that will mount under the dash, and the LED display and "up" and "down" buttons will be separate so you can mount them in custom locations anywhere in the dash.

The valet switch will be available as an added-cost option with either package. If you option for the valet switch it will include the tamper-proof valet programming in the module, as well as several feet of extra wiring and a toggle switch that you can mount in a secret location.

If you want an auxiliary input/external trigger that will force it to go to a certain tune (IE for nitrous, launch control, etc) that will be available as an added-cost option.

With either package you have a choice of three display colors, red, green, and blue. When you order it, just specify what color you want.

All of the necessary wiring, including the ECM pin, is included with both packages. All you have to do is hook up ignition-hot power, ground, and the ECM pin. (specify LB7/LLY/LBZ/LMM when ordering)

That sounds really awesome. I'm interested in package 1 with the led dim and possibly the valet. :) Nice work, can't wait to see photos.

The "up" and "down" push-buttons will be illuminated.

As far as color on the push-buttons, what do you guys think the colors should be?

IE, "increase" tune will be green, "decrease" tune will be red? Or blue? Or should they both be the same color? Or should they both just match whatever color LED display you order? IE, you order a blue LED display, you get blue buttons etc...

IMO the buttons should match the display. :thumb:

I have red, blue, and green LED displays, and red, blue, and green push-buttons, the cost is all the same so Ill just set it up so when you order it you specify what color buttons and what color display.

all sounds good to me, can't wait to see some pics of the options, I think I would op for the gauge style but on the other hand the DIY kit would be cool then I could re-machine another overhead mount and have the display and switches mounted in that, if the size is right.:thumb: any idea roughly what the cost is going to be?

I like the green increase and red decrease idea! As others stated I'd like to see one complete as it sounds awesome! Wish i had an empty gauge hole though :( Already have boost, pyro and drive pressure gauges and wouldn't want to add a overhead mount for one gauge unless they make one for just one gauge...

Thanks a lot Ben. Now I am going to have to figure out which wire is what on the ecm. Its to cold to be messing with them terminals again and routing wires through the fire wall.
