I see the head gaskets on the motor in the pics. When checking clearence you want no head gaskets on to see what there before hand. Also head gaskets can not be reused after being bolted on. Just pointing out so others do not try this and mess up readings or gaskets.

Yes but since the block is o-ringed, you must put gaskets in so the heads do not get damaged.
