Why would they upgrade the c4 but not c3? The c3 has pretty much been the weakest pack since they came out

Shift comfort and the C3 is only loaded 40%. The problem is it still gets no oil and if the TAPs were not set correctly when the truck was new, it will hurt the clutches.
C4 clutch capacity was probably increased because of heavy towing going up and down mountains upshifting and downshifting 5-6/6-5 which will heat up the C4's pretty good.

Hey Mike, my LML is acting funny during low throttle driving. It feels like it is either in neutral or searching for the right gear. It is an intermittent problem and only happens during maybe 5% throttle. Other than that the trans shifts fine under medium-WOT. I "would" like a firmer, non flaring shift but at this time it does the job.

Thanks for any advice you have.

Very interesting and scary too. Think I'm gonna get a kit when you release them.

Sent from my droid bionic while driving through your yard, smashing your cute little kittens.

My lml has always been the best shifting truck I ever drove so I can't wait to make it even better. I don't suppose the spring is one that can be changed by the valve body without pulling the trans? I suspect I will also need the c3 clutches too so might as well put them and the converter in too.

EVER AS IN EVER FROM 2001 TO PRESENT MODEL YEAR?

What does Peurto Rico have to do with the spring? Are you out sourcing parts?

Yes Mack; the best ever. It was a great shifting trans before I touched it and now it's even better and will hold quite a bit of power.
Pressure Regulator spring.

Trans must come out for the spring. I would do the C1,C2, and C3 at the same time. Leave the back end alone ( C4 ). Don't even need to pull pan or touch valve body as it has Allisons version of the Transgo already designed into it. I'm making a slight change in the converter flash. This Alli will be the best ever.

That's good news, but it's a long drive to Cali. :(
