Ben, tubing looks nice I like the way yours is routed :thumb:. I've never heard of those saws those are cool I was just getting ready to buy a chop saw to not now :D. I looked real quick and I found those for about $450, can they be adjusted to cut any angle? I wonder how long the blade last's they are a little $$$

supposedly the blade lasts a long time, and can be resharpened. The other nice thing is the more the blade wears, you can still cut thick stuff (whereas on an abrasive cutoff saw each cut you make decreases the overall diameter of the blade).

Yes, the saw is expensive, but I have used abrasive saws for YEARS, and I will never go back to using one again!

no idea, Ill find out soon enough. :D

I believe vacuum is approx same in all piping between turbo and filter. But blades may do some turbulence near turbo (that can cause wrong readings), thats why it is maybe better put MAF more far away fom it.
I dont have any facts, it is just some speculation we have talk with friends.
I didnt have MAF in piping with last setup, and will try to keep it like that with new one also.

I'd say that he squared it off himself. It would be kinda hard to buy one that was already squared like that and have it hit the flange with all the angles correct.

So what all is different from the MPI kit?

I dont know simon, look at pics of mine next to an MPI kit and you tell me the difference.

No its not different if you want to nitpick it even more than you already have; I put the primary turbo in the same place as MPI, I didnt have some unique original idea like putting it in my toolbox or mounting it to my trailer hitch or something.

My piping routing is different. My downpipe is different. My intercooler pipe is different. I used a van bridge. I have a custom-made stock turbo inlet mouthpiece. I dont have to cut my fender liner to fit the downpipe. I put my fuel filter in a different location than anyone else. I have a stronger/different design primary turbo-mount brace.

Sorry, are the twins I built not as good as the twin setups that you have built?

Ok, i thought it would be easier to ask someone who knows ( YOU )

You said you wanted to build it different than Nathans. So I was asking....Ive never seen Nathans twins,Wondered what you felt you needed to change? How is that a nitpick?

Was that so hard to say? Thankyou

His skin has toughened up yet... But really... twins are twins.. The S480 isn't anything new.. especially using the 96 turbine 1.32 A/R... That's the charger that Nathan specs on the S300/S400 kit.

S480 is so 2008 ;) S510 is the new S480... Right trent? :happy2: :coolspot:
All the cool kids use a GT47  :joker:
