Where would you start the pw drop? 30mm3 and 70mpa?

O-30mm3 is normally the idle area, So ya

Hook up your efi and start logging as you are going down the road, OPEN efi to your table you are adjusting and you will see the curser highlighted over the cell you are cruising in.

if you are having a troubled area this is the best way to find where it needs to be adjusted

Sure wish I knew how to use the timing calculator. No idea what my desired % of inj btdc or min timing should be.

I'm guessing your hand caluating the mileage since the DIC isnt accurate?

I agree with sweet I would try and grab some logs on flat stretches of road before and after your changes. That way you know what cells of the tune your pushing things around to. IE if you drop the PW like sweet said it should force the truck to request a higher mm3 to compensate for the lower pw. That in turn should raise your FP too. It may also move what it's requesting for timing so you might have to bump up the timing in the higher mm3 cells to get the timing up where it was.

Timing calc is great for stock injectors. Not the best for bigger injectors but can bet you a base line

Only really need the calculator for the big end numbers IMO. Are the calculators not accurate there? I guess I never thought about it much. I just assumed it worked the same for big injectors.

If using lower PW, you don't need to have the timing as high:). But the timing can be placed higher in the upper areas to compensate for the bigger injectors, this should reduce EGTS also ( to a point )

Dale for now just use 50/50 on the calculator. I suggested 20% reduction due to the fact that 45 Overs. basically u will be going back to a stock tune this way. Over 80mm3 is normally the WOT position if you dump a bunch of black when you floor it, simply smooth out the transition from cruise to WOT.

I like the calculator for the whole table, as a starting point.JMO when you look at GM tables they just seem over engineered to me :D

Vane turbos require a lil more finesse on timing table IMO but its not rocket surgery

You should see my timing table. It's not far from a stock GM one in the amount of valleys and hills lol. Lots of that comes when you want a single tune to be lots of different things

And go all the way up to 190 mpa starting at 30mm3 to 70mm3?

This calculator makes no MF sense to me.
Should I just go back to stock timing and then add from there?

The calulator should give you a timing table that is smooth. With lower timing in the crusing area and getting higher as you move towards the big end of the tune. I wouldn't go back to stock. Your not going to hurt anything fast with timing. The engine sound will let you know if you did anything wrong.
