I'm 90% sure the no first gear lockup is not possible due to hydraulics of the trans not just electrical trickery so I don't think braydens controller can do the first gear lockup deal-e-o. There's a thread on here about this in the trans talk section.

If he's gonna to through trouble of hangin an xcase, he might as well hang a front axle also and use that second output for something. :D

It's too bad it's not able to be dedicated to pulling and not need roadability. Be good to see it with gearing to hit 2nd and lockup. But with 35s that's gonna need to be a loooow gear out back to do that and keep and keep a sizable turbo lit.

Yea...you're right..3200 is were mine shifts also...

This isn't saying much...but if was me I'd put it in second just to see what happens.
Can't be any worse than my 25'...boosted burn-out at Famoso last year:eek:
I tried 3rd once... ran out of fuel pressure...buck..buck..buck...
In second also but not as bad and I can feather the peddle back.

Time for a 1 piece.

whats your reasoning behind a 1 piece?

im almost ~90" long drive shaft.... anything slight bend or even natural twist will through something that long out of wack and out it comes(say 100mph trap speed? than ~2000rpm and ALOT of spinging weight to keep balance)... not a good idea;)

Nice demo job Brother . Sucks , but sign of the power

You know your laying it down when your breaking chit like that .

I just replaced my short driveshaft on mine . Had serious vibration .

Twisted the tube on mine from transfer case to trans .

1/4 inch out of alignment on the u joints lining up end to end after AV Lancaster pulls

Had tube cut out and double tubed and rebalanced . All better and vibration gone .

Wheres the vid of it snapping like that .... should be a good vid if somebody got it for you .

Naw .... the kodiak never lets me down . Old girl is good like that .

It would have just bent the shaft worse than it did .

edit pulled the drive shaft qick measuer ment is 105" long...

when it was install then then rear driveshaft was instaled 90* out off the front shaft u-joint

Yes, it would be a long shaft and the alignment/balance would have to be dead on.
But less stuff to break.

If installed with u joint not in alignment at slip end to end all hell will break loose .

Did you have any vibrations before this failure occured
