Sorry Tommy forgot about this thread:eek:

Yup boost gauge will also work but i would use a electric gauge so you dont need to run a line in the cab just wires

basic set up would just require tying into the exhaust manifold,I used a chunk of SS tubing for about 8" to allow for a lil cooling then ran braided hose to the sensor....Any type of tubing should work just need to adapt to 1/8 npt on both ends

as far as the electric pins I used them to come off of the gauge and tie into EFI to log ......you dont need this, its just nice

if you need anything let me know:)

no problem thanks for the help :)

Glad everything went OK.. I didn't realize he sent me the drain tube and all the piping when he sent the turbo. That's my fault, and if anybody lent some parts out I can send them back to Tommy to replace yours.

Thanks,

Brayden

No problem brayden Just put the parts in with johhnys turbo if you dont mind. or you can ship them sepratley to me wich ever is easier thanks :)

It was interesting going from 40-94 to VVT and really seeing differences .

You just cant beat the drivability of a VVT . Cant wait for the big tune to really feel how she runs with full boost .

The truck is Stealth now compared to before .

It spools quick and is right there . NICE !!!

Now Im just :toetap: ....... I want ...I want ....

Gonna sound sweet on the kodiak . The f-16 under the hood sound ........ Very Nice !!!

Maybe I should get off the computer and put my motor together . hahahahaa

Its just sitting here waiting for me to do it .

Ok well jason went and did a little testing with me and nick made a couple diffent tunes we where having problems making over 3o psi. but after a couple trys i think where getting closer. saw around 37-38 psi any more then tht and i think we have to crank the vanes way to much to make more boost. there cranked more then I would expect now  but mabey its just how it needs to be. on the way home i did a run on my mini track by the movie studio just short of 1/8th mile and boosted 4wd was :eek::D i would have to say it sure felt faster then my 4094 but will see thurs when i can get to the track. so will see how tht goes the testing continues :)

Don't worry about a number.. If it likes 38psi or so I'd leave it at that and then lower the vane position as much as possible to keep it at that level. Since you have a true LMM cartridge and vanes they're a bit shorter than the LBZ and LLY so they'll create higher pressure at the turbine but less flow through the vanes so you should be OK to run them at 35% or 40% at higher RPM's.

This should get you the best boost/backpressure ratio possible. Jneals truck made 630/1147 @ 37psi. It's all about efficiency.

Keep your pulsewidth down as well and run more pressure.

PS.. Go into your trans tune and raise the WOT shift points to about 3600rpm and then try your 4wd launch again. You'll really like it! :D
