Density altitude or the quality of the air basically.

yup, basically gives you the theoretical altitude you are racing at based on a multitude of factors like humidity, temp, and so on. with as hot as its been (air is not very dense right now), DA will probably be in the 5-6000ft elevation area. thats a big difference in power.

as long as you hold rail at WOT, getting max timing, you are getting full pulse width and boost is hitting where blake commands it, there isnt much else he really needs to see unless you feel there is a problem.

Gotcha. Don’t think my CTS2 monitors DA but definitely IAT.

It won’t. Mine does the same

Exactly. That number will kill some horsepower. Lol

I can’t wait to hit the track again this fall. I ran my new personal best in 90* ambient temps and intake air temps over 100. Should get better with some good air.

Banks iDash 1.8 with their AirMouse will read DA.

There’s plenty of apps and websites that will give you DA via zipcode.

If you want the best launch, hit the track as soon as you can because they don’t prep it for shit after the beginning

You ever hit the track or did the wife have other plans?

Nope my buddy I usually go with wasn’t available and the wife wanted to have me spend the weekend painting the house so I stayed up late doing that and same all day yesterday. Got a lot done but no racing. I’ll have to plan ahead next time.

TPI or nah? Sweet bikes. My buddy is a KTM nut. I love my GasGas tho

2019 and last of the carbies. They had a 2020 TPI sitting there for another 500 bucks but they got rid of the kick starter and added a separate oil mixing tank and from the reviews that I’ve read about them everyone says the carbs run much better so I got the last one available in Arizona

TBI has been getting mixed reviews, but I do like that they’re finally implementing new technology to the 2 stroke world. That’s a main reason I got my GasGas over a Beta, it had e start and a kicker. I’ve been tickled with it. 2018 leftover for chunky discount, suspension perfect for me from the factory, and I haven’t had to mess with the jetting at all. From 30 degrees to 100 it’s ran perfectly.

Now there's something you can enjoy working on..

My youngest son raced KTM for several years. Fast bikes, but I put in a bunch of hours tuning and tightening bolts every week. Actually tack welded the kick starter bolt after he lost the second one during a hair scramble. Besides that, four years later, some other kid was tickled to start his racing career on it.

I see we’re not saving any money huh lol:woott:

Not a dime. I’ve got almost $5,000 into aftermarket parts already on the new KTM without an hour of ride time. Easier to work on a clean bike rather than a dirty one.

Truck on the other hand is still flawless. I get compliments on it weekly from random people in parking lots wherever I go and they don’t even know what’s under the hood either.
