Well the truck went out on it's maiden voyage this past weekend. The track was really muddy...I mean really muddy. The dually trucks put a real hurting on the single wheel trucks. I had a wedding to attend Saturday so I didn't get to personally go and pull my truck but AJ's dad did. Here is a video of the trucks, swampthing is first in line.

Now I just need to fiqure out how to keep the fire lit for the next pull. Not bad for the first time out, nothing broke is always a good thing.

I don't know what RPM it was shifting at and the turbo is a t6 side mounted S400.

I do not have the truck plated and with it being illegal as all hell I didn't want to chance getting pulled over doing testing. So, the trans never got to learn past the 1-2 shift so we believe that is what killed the fire. If you notice the shift from 2-3 it completely stopped smoking. I am going to get plates this week and do things the right way and hopefully keep the turbo lit. If that doesn't work we are going to switch exhaust housings and go from there.

No codes?

Make sure you have no exhaust leaks killing your heat and keep the RPM up.

No exhaust leaks, that I am sure off. As you can tell, the turbo lights pretty easily once it gets rolling. I do not believe there was any codes. I think it was just a simple issue that could have been dealt with if I took the time to get plates and test everything out before pulling. However, I choose to use the pull as a test bed and I guess in short, I got exactly what I deserved...a simple error that can be easily fixed.

Shoot!! I bet I've watched that clip a dozen times this morning & it makes my sticker peck out everytime. Sounds almost just like that blower truck that went right after you. :D

Here is another video from another angle. Anyone care to count the shifts? Did it shift to 4th and die or did it die on the 2-3 shift? I orginally thought it was the 2-3 shift that killed it but now I am having doubts. You tell me....

On edit...

Action Taken When the DTC Sets
The control module illuminates the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) on the second consecutive ignition cycle that
the diagnostic runs and fails.
1.
The control module records the operating conditions at the time the diagnostic fails. The first time the diagnostic
fails, the control module stores this information in the Failure Records. If the diagnostic reports a failure on the
second consecutive ignition cycle, the control module records the operating conditions at the time of the failure. The
control module writes the operating conditions to the Freeze Frame and updates the Failure Records.

The 3. ECM limits fuel delivery

it didn't seem like a 4th gear shift... it died very quickly. Since it lit relatively easily, I doubt that even if that were a 4th gear shift at the end it would have snuffed it that quickly. The RPM weren't through the roof or anything but the charger sounded fully lit so I just can't see a 4th gear shift killing it that quickly. That seemed more like fuel went away suddenly.

and it still sounds incrdible two dozen times later. :thumb:

Wheel speed was 23mph at the time it snuffed. What would that equate to in a gear? I thought atleast 3rd. I just have a hard time seeing 23 mph in 2nd gear. I guess at this point after testing on the street and it defueling at the same point with the same code I would say we got it fiqured out.
