Thanks for the feedback guys. You got it, Dale! Wouldn't be a race tune if it wasn't a little smokey with a stock turbo :D

I ran a best of 8.9 on this tune tonight. 60ft was around 2.2 or so. I'll post my slip in the morning.

I was really expecting better, but..:baby:

I read through this thread the other night and this tune really interested me. My truck is basically stock minus exhaust/PCV rereoute and the EGR blocked and my small tow tune I had on it. I loaded the latest tune from this thread on my truck and took it for a spin, did some logging, etc. I love it, I wish I had the cash to do a trans build right now because I know I am playing with fire. Oh well, I had fun in the first 3 gears then let off. My truck didn't have any defueling issues which surprised me. Maybe that's because I only ran it up to the top of 3rd though. I saw a max of 30 psi.

I'm done rambling though :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Hey, it's just money. :D

I'm back to the strip this Friday night. Hoping for mid 8's on the stock trans.

Running version 3 now. Added timing is real nice, turbo has a real high pitch to it when revved while sitting.

Running mine friday in the 1/8. we'll see.

OK. I went to music city raceway last night. Didn't set up because I arrived 20 min before time trials were to end.

1st run was 12.79 @70.3 (2wd non boosted launch) while smoking the tires almost the complete 1/8 mile. 2nd run was 9.72 @ 73.6 (4wd 5psi launch) babied it to 60' and it still broke loose when I nailed it. 3rd run was 10.32 @75.88 (4wd 5psi launch); smoothest of the 3 but slower than # 2

I was unprepared; drove on to the track set up as it runs every day, and I was ready to go drink beer. I'll get set up good andtake another jab at it in a week or two maybe.

You're launching it really soft which is part of the reason your times are so slow, but even still, your MPH is about 5-10 lower than what it should be. 8100 Power trapped almost 80 with this tune, and he doesn't have a lift pump or a built trans. How heavy is your truck? Something doesn't seem right.

I'd be glad to help you with your tuning. Next time we're at the track we should see what we can come up with. Do you have EFILive?

No, I do not currently have EFILive, but I do have a tune on my spare ECU that made 473hp on Dr Performance's dyno that we can start with. It is the one that would totally defuel during my 1- 1/8th mile run at Kennedale.

My 60's is what killed me.

We can use mine to tune it. We'll just have to work something out on the license. We'll have to get to the track before October so you have it running good in front of all the other diesels at the NADM/ODRA race. I'm gonna need to get my truck tuned up and see what it will do anyway.
