Where's the video I saw? :thumb:

Any chance of smacking those coolers on the ground if you yank the front tires to much or does it just look like they are sitting lower than they are in that pic??

Those are coolers turned radiator haha, but yes I moved them. At full suspension compression they were ok, but I couldn't make it over the speed bumps driving it around yesterday. Same location just bent the brackets more.

Ok Russ...so where is the time slip?
;)

Obviously, that is some inspired work man, nice work! That car looks MEAN!
WOW, what a car, what a cool build.

So, are the parts HSP made for you (front cover, specifically), going to be available to us low life's, now?

Did moving the engine and trans back 4" have any affect on your traction and 60' time? Just curious, as I would think moving that kinda weight, even just a few inches, could make a significant difference in traction...?

Damn...thanks for the link Andy

Great save Rob...
You said you got "Lucky"...I got lucky, once...
LMAO!

Meh, you're too modest man...that was great save and personally, Id say that little mishap displayed the skills you possess as a driver, I'm glad you're OK...

Sorry about your luck guys (Russ/Rob), racin is risky, we all know it, but sometimes we forget that, when so often the results are success...its crazy what can happen in the blink of an eye

I look forward to seeing the car make a full pass under full power!

Rob was off the throttle and sideways well before the 1000' mark and went 7.6 . He did an awesome job wheeling the machine, it could have been way worse.. The left rear was 3-4" in the air at one point when we watched in slow motion. Our previous best 60' was 1.43 before the changes.

That'll buff right out:thumb:
Not too terrible, all things considered...

Glad to see/hear you're undeterred;)

No doubt, it's not my first rodeo with a wrecked race car. I raced 360 sprint cars years ago, wrecking was a norm with 20 cars fighting over the same turn, just to turn around and go the other way haha. Got too expensive, and being on fire in slow motion is no fun.

I know what you mean about sprints being too expensive now. I pitted on a couple cars here in OK all thru the 90s...but I don't see how what you're doing now is any cheaper. Lol

360's was a continuous money dump, I ran dirt and asphalt. Tires every other event, broken parts, drums of methanol, going through the motor every 10-11 races gets expensive racing a couple times a week. With the diesel stuff, once your initial purchase is made and built, your good to go for a while (should be anyhow). Owning both RPM and NorCal Truck helps out a ton too, back then I was a welder/fabricator at food processing plants.
