I noticed last night on the build sheet for my harness, there is an option to keep cruise control. I honestly can't remember if I checked that box or not, it's been a long time since I sent it off.

I have so many Questions. lol. i am also installing an lb7 in a chevy crew cab ,mine is an 01 lb7 and a 91 crew cab. i also am using the dakota digital gauges. im curious if the leads from the ecm for speedo and the tach are in a format that the aftermarket gages understands. i havent started the actual install in the truck yet i just got it striped down to bare cab now. i already have the whole 01 truck i bought it several years ago and now it is starting to get some really bad cancer on the body and the frame. i too was going to use an adapter for the 205 bought it and all,but have since decided to use the factory push button case and ford dana 60 hp instead. i still have all the shafts and coupling and infinately adjustable clocking adapters to sell now. i was planning on doing my harness myself but it is a small bit difficult to find the exact scematics that i need.

Who did the harness for your Chevelle?

A guy I met out of Oregon, I think the name of the place is power integration something like that.

It's worked well and we've actually use quite a bit of harnesses from him on other conversions. But he said that the cruise control cannot be done without the Allison… But there's got to be a way around that because I know the cruise control works with the six speeds the Z 56s… I just drove one the other day there's one here in my town that I live in, 03 Duramax with the Z56 and the cruise control works great.

Should just have to load up a ZF OS, no?

I thought the cruise control circuit ran through the BCM [also?] and needs feedback from the brake circuit as well?

You know... so it'll actually kick off when you hit the brakes. :D

The adapter came from Advance Adapters. With it I also bought a new input shaft to fit the splines from the ZF. And when I figure out the motor mounts, there will be very detailed pictures. May have to cut the body on this one too for clearance, as of now, I'm refusing to use a body lift.

Nice build...:thumb:

Pretty amazing that company is still around, I installed a Buick 225 V6 in my brothers 1965 CJ5 with their adapters. Came with engine mounts to the frame, flywheel, pilot bushing, clutch, input extension for the 4 speed granny transmission and the adapter, that was around 1978. Now, 38 years later, they must be doing something right...:thumb:

My speedo will be ran from the 205 transfer case. Dakota digital sells what you need to make that work. I havent installed it all yet....however, in the next few weeks I will be back on this project pretty heavy. My harness should be here in a few days. I'll post some pictures of it. I'm sure it's another stellar piece from Ben. I haven't seen his work in person but I've dissected many harness pictures and talked to several people, his are, from what I can see, the best.

I've been working on swapping cabs recently, I've received my harness from Ben and it looks amazing, should look very clean in the engine bay. After I finish cutting up my donor cab to make it fit the engine, I'll be putting it all together.
