just under 3 years old, about 40,000 miles , and 430-480 hp at all times. Very little towing, only down the track 2 times, never sled pulled. I think, compared to alot of others, I have been kinda nice to this trans. -Jeff

take your big power tune ... return the tcm to stock settings save as new tune so you dont wipe your old one out , reset taps... all of them , go through to learn procsess for your big power tune and see what happens . if it doesnt work then as i stated before its going to have to be pulled / or diagnosed by a trans builder . but as istated i think you may have thinned out your clutches and too much clearnce is pressent screwing with the apply release timming .

what if i tried the 20-20 tow tune, by itself, not on the DSP5 switch. -Jeff

it would work but it wont test the trans under full power , start with the 20/20 tow tune and if it works good step up the power, but key is to stay witha stock tcm tune .

Did Eric build the trans, or just install it for you? If he built it or even just had it opened up I would think he should be informed of a possible failure and at least try to help resolve the issue:dontknow:

Eric never touched the trans, I bought it through him, it was shipped directly to me from Suncoast and I installed it myself. I am in Spokane, WA, I would have had someone do it but there are no tranny shops around here. I was going to bring it to mike, but when I lost 5th gear in the original tranny I figured the road trip to SoCal was out of the question. -Jeff

I would love to, but I cant afford the time off, let alone the fuel to get there and the cost to repair it!

I'm not real sure that just because it wasn't raced or pulled alot that has everything to do with clutch wear. I think the worst damage I ever did to my trans was romping on it in normal drive and letting it go through the gears when it wasn't trained for that. Thinking back now, I think I took alot of life off the clutches by being foolish. For the most part my T/H mode shifted great once I had it trained. From now on I will be using T/H anytime I'm going to romp on it through the gears.

Jeff mines starting to pull the same hard down shift crap again too. Stock ecm and tcm. My clutches are wiped out!

It is doing it intermittently with the stock tunes in, sometimes it is fine, then it will flare a 2-3 shift or shift hard on a 3-4 shift. down shifts seem better, but it will still stumble on acceleration after slowing down quickly.

There's a few people that do that,I would imagine your first couple run's are slower than your final one's due to the trans learning wot shifts?

I never ran mine at the track in normal D, mostly b/c I trained t/h to race with and never would touch it,but around town when I was in normal D, if I was to romp on it to chase someone down, it was like it didn't know what to do until it hit 4th. Thinking back, it just didn't seem like it was too good for the internals/clutches. I could be totaly wrong though.
